You sure do have a lot more faith in Dell than most.
Alienware? That's one step away from buying a Mac.
I've probably had more Dell equipment than most. Thier warranty service eclipses everyone else that I have gone through RMAs with, and I need merely pick up the phone, call my dedicated sales agent, and stuff is on my doorstep within 5 business days. Heck, they are the only compnay that I've not had to pay for shipping the broken stuff back...
I needed monitors for eyefinity, picked up the phone, and had them before final packaging was made, even. try getting that from anyone else.
And...I have a MAC too, for my audio station. Since Apple bought Logic, I have no other choice. Pretty much everyone into pro recording uses a MAC. I tried PC=based audio software, and didn't like it one bit(mind you, i can use logic with my eyes closed now)
I have systems for dedicated purposes...Dell laptop for surfing/downloading. Mac for Audio. Custon PC for office work. Custom PC for gaming. Custom PC for HTPC.
Alienware rigs get more attention from the "regular joe" too...the only case I've ever had that got a better response was the Raven1. I just want the louvered case...
..I got a HP BlackBird case in storage too.
I used to work for Dell, so I know the inner workings a bit better than most too. Can't say anything bad about them, really...a bit overpriced...sure. But not so much at the high-end...
