so as the title says this is about the Gigabyte x58 ud7

so i'll go first

so i've downloaded HWMonitor and it's coming out with some strange readings

now i don't have any lockups or bsod,

so is this bios related or is it just my motherboard? (i'm using the F6bios at the mo)

i did have the same problem on my msi kt6 motherboard :wtf:

any ideas ?

It's not a problem. CPUID isn't reading in the right place. Your hardware is fine.

I use +100.000 A and have other strange readings as well in CPUID and don't care much about it. It has now run fine for +1000 hours (F6 bios). The UD5 is much better in that respect (correct readings, Fsomething else bios).

try flashing anyways, your using a old bios hehe, try f8d its great!!

well guys i dowloaded the CPUID Reviewer Kit for Intel Sandy Bridge from here and it now reads correctly using the HWMonitor inclded in the kit (version 1.17.1)

although it's still not reading the temps on the sata 3 drives
anyone else having similar issues?

also the TMonitor (version 1031 32 bit version) isn't working (havent tried it on win xp 64 yet)

Try not to obsess about this. Out of the 100+ motherboards I've owned, probably half of them had sensors that did not play nice with monitoring software. It's just how it is. If you have good air flow around your drives, they are just fine. If you really need to know the temps of your HDD's, buy one of these and attach the probes to the drives.
