Hard disk lifetime question

Now that HD has died in the most retarded way
I was using it on an external enclosure and fell down while plugged in, now the system freezes when accesing it, Event viewer spammed with disk errors and getting faulty sectors

I am in the process to upgrade a laptop HDD, I will recycle it if it's in good shape or just buy two!

Checked it and seems to be good, so I will reuse it as the external HDD meanwhile

Maybe in the future I will get a cheap SSD for it, so bumps and falls won't affect it

Meanwhile the Toshiba one died completely and wasn't even detected anymore I will crack open to reuse its neodymium magnets
