Hey,
I'm an amateur moviemaker looking to buy an 22'' LCD for $250CDN or under. Quality is a major thing I need for this monitor. I only want brand new. Thanks for the help:)

Check newegg for the Acer 22" Widescreen. It's fairly decent, not sure what it could be in CDN, but it's got to be close.

Thanks for the reply :) Can anyone vouch on this aswell? It's only $231.49 on NCIX. I may just buy this one. Again, I need top of the line quality. I'll pay a little more than $250 if it'll make a major difference in the picture quality. Again thanks for any replies :D

You've got me interested in finding a new monitor now. Have a look at this one, got great reviews on cnet.

EDIT: Price listed is for refurbished

I would stick with that Acer, or maybe a samsung rated well on the egg for a bit more.

Haha I know what you mean. I've been using CRT for too long just because I found it was best for gaming. I don't know a whole lot about LCD monitors yet but I saw that the one you have linked doesn't come with a DVI cable. Isn't DVI way better quality than VGA? I could be the wrong direction. My friend told me to try Samsung 221BW who is also on these forums. I looked around though and couldn't find it being sold.:wtf:

I'd be extremely careful with the Acer, my friend got one recently and he had 2 dead pixels and if I remember correctly our Acer rep said you can't return them unless they have more than 6. However I don't know if that's the same where you are.

I've heard a lot, and from my colleagues at work, they all highly recommend Samsung's 226BW. I must admit, whenever we get one in for a customer I've been very impressed.

Hope that helps, and welcome to the forums!

I used to be a film-student so if you wanna bollock on about your ideas and such, feel free to PM me.

That really is a sexy monitor, so freakin' smooth.

Buy me one.
