LOL. Well. The version I did for Vista 169.35 worked fine on my machine. I ported the changes to the 175.16 XP and Vista versions. So I'm not sure what the deal is here.

But the 169.35 version should in theory work but it doesnt work for 9XXX cards since those were released in 174+ I think. So I'm still looking at it.

really? so it DOES work, in 169.35?

Download a modded INF from laptop2go and get 9600 support added in, it wont be too hard.

Err. Well I know the drivers work fine I just don't know if SLI is enabled in them. So thats what needs testing. These don't seem to work at all. They force VGA mode instead.

I just wanted to post I don't think this is my fault actually. I think the modifications I made are fine. These drivers don't seem to be working for me for at all for some reason (even the unmodded ones). So I might re-mod a different set.

Haha, silly me. I guess I should have checked that the regular drivers worked before introducing another variable eh.

Haha, it's ok. Sorry I haven't been testing yet. I'll be able to start tomorrow at around 4:30 Mountain Time. I'm going to take my computer to the store so that I can mess with stuff until about 8:00. I'm excited!

Yay. I figured out the problem after a fresh night's sleep. It was exceedingly simple.

So the drivers should work fine now. Now we just need to try the SLI :P.

Going to update first post in a bit.

Umm. I'm not really sure where you're getting these problems from. I think its wanting to use the older nv4_mini.sys and can't load it. Are you running the setup program or just trying to install through Device Manager?

If you get that prompt try pointing it to the place where the modded drivers are extracted and tell it to get the nv4_mini.sys from there.

Hey there I did do that..and it told me to put in windows xp disc and i did and it made it so i cant see nvidia dp any more? I dont know whats going on..haha

Try updating the "VGA Compatible" driver in Device Manager to the new drivers by extracting the new ones and then clicking "Have Disk" and going to the new dir. Then choose 8800 GT in the list (should show only that). Unless you've already done that.

I have limited testing options for the XP/W2K version admittedly since I don't have XP installed ATM. Only Vista. I know that version is working fine and I made similar changes but I can't verify for sure. Might have to try it out unless others can let me know.

EDIT: And to clarify by "working fine" I again don't mean SLI. I just mean the drivers work. We haven't been able to check if SLI itself works yet.

hi there yes I did all that as well and still it sais its not installed ...I can give you chare my pc number if you like cuz I dont know what els to do..I tried re installing the drivers a few times and taking out the card and putting it back in and nothing makes a difference

hey did you get on my comp? or are you not here?

No I didn't get on your computer. I think I need your email don't I? I haven't really used this ShowMyPC service before. I do want to check it out but might not be able to til later tonight or tomorrow. If you need the video working again you might just install the previous drivers you were using for now.

@BYU: Thanks and good luck! I hope that it isn't too much trouble with the testing and that you get some good data. Thanks again!

Hey guys, not sure if you are worrying about Sol's XP x64 drivers in this thread, but I'm having a problem enabling SLI, it says it's available in GPU-z and the Nvidia CP, but when I try to enable it it just reverts back to 2 single cards running seperately.
I'm not sure what to do about this. Insight?

Are you saying that these drivers won't support SLI yet?
