HyperTransport Sync Flood Error

D9GTS or D9GTR demands more than 2.0v. WAAAYYY more. ;) HCF0 scales best to 2.05v

And like I said, I am not the info source, just the messenger. ;)

i like to use elpida chips, they scale very good, even with small amounts of voltage. some dont even like high volts, and scale best up to 1.75;)
i heard of these chips demanding more than 2v, but i say, i dont like the thought of putting that much stress and heat on ddr3, even if they are designed for it. maybe for ln2 sessions, but definetly not for simple air:laugh:

So, Chewy, how's it going with this issue? Any luck?

*crosses fingers*

Did a bios update with no luck... I really don't know what to do

So, everything is at stock...correct?

Can you give the model # of your ram?(this is what dyno was looknig for...among a couple of other things).

Also, cooling?

Not that any of that is really important, other than the ram...

Fresh bios, default settings, should just get up and go, be seems it got up and went....south.

:wtf:

Default cpu volts should be 1.325...

I'll get a bios template, if I can, and lets see what we get.

That power supply...did you pay like $50 for it?

HCF8, I see, I see...

Did you load default values in bios?

I haven't any clue as to what's teh problem here, but in the least I can make sure you've got everything set up properly.

Could be the cpu, the board, the mem, the PSU, lol...but I guess, that's why you're posting in the first place..., so let's do what we can.

I'll be back with settings for ya.

ASUS too, early unlock bioses sucked all around...

My first Asus M4A79 Deluxe had that issue among a host of others, my second one didnt have that error but USB ports did not function now the 3rd one has been fine with the most recent bios from Asus.

I just wanna say thanks cadaveca but I think I'm going to throw in the towel or at least take a break because this driving me crazy

I would be at the same point too. really, I'd like to just say the cpu or psu is borked, but I can't, without ensuring everything else is right. Memory should be fine with SPD timings, and would give different errors.

If ya had another cpu, I'd suggest trying it.

:toast:

And on that note, I think I'm gonna have a scotch...have a good one! lol.

once you get stressed always walk away for 20 minutes or longer then go back at it

I wish it was that easy, but I'm done with this I will replace every part if I have to, but I'm done troubleshooting

but thanks for the advice

ok I'm going to look like a GIANT dumd@ss right now but i figured out what was wrong
my gpu had an overclock of 50mhz that i must of forgot about since I had stopped playing games for about 2-3 weeks, anyways I put it to stock and now everything is all good

I just wanna say sorry for how much time I wasted guys :o thanks :respect::respect::respect::respect::respect:

That's odd. BTA is spot on here:

That is caused by:

1. Too high of an OC without the ample amount of CPU volts.
2. Plain, not enough CPU Volts at any speed.
3. Possible Bad power supply.
4. Motherboard with very high amount of VDroop which ultimately leads back to "Not Enough CPU Volts". This will reveal itself with a load on the CPU. Maybe not during typical use. Could just be that the motherboard has CPU power providing issues as well (Good power from PSU but motherboard wastes the power before reaching the CPU).

Respond accordingly. MSI boards seem to be particularly affected. Start with upping DDR3 voltage a little (+0.1V steps till you reach 1.8V).

considering it's cost...might be time to get a new unit. Sounds like GPU and cpu are sharing a rail.

im gonna have to agree the psu may be the overall culprit i had the SAME issue on a MSI board in my first build with a BFG 650watt unit even at stock had massive issues updated through 6 different bios didnt fix the issue finally said screw it sent the PSU back bought a Silverstone and all worked well. for whatever reason. My guess is theres to much strain on your PSU.... is it an older unit? capacitor aging.. maybe eitherway id look into a new one as was suggested stable power is your best friend with Overclocking anything :toast:

ive heard good things of there powersupplies but i tend to stick to single rail psu myself less to worry about but yea so far ive only heard good things of Seventeam PSUs :toast:
