what CPUs are you looking for? and how much you want to spend?

well I give the computers away or free....(so as little as poss, and any Dual Core is fine)

Give it awhile if no one helps you out maybe we could make a deal. But i don't really want to give up my chip(s) yet :toast:

You got a PM Mark.

sent pm.

Thanks for the PMs... The reason for my request here is I have a Skt 939 X2 4200 and no mobo (so I need a mobo to use it)

And I have a AM2 mobo and no CPU so I need an inexpensive CPU for it.

If you can't get a dual core for cheap, I'll give you a single core for nothing .

Thx Pantherx12 for the offer.

I might have an mATX 939 ASUS board... A8V-VM SE I think is what it is... idk if that will work or not?

i dont want to invasion this thread, but im EXACTLY in the same situation as MKMODS!!
i even have the 4200+ 939!!!
and my biostar 790gx is unused, since at least a month!!!
i would also appreciate, if someone cold sell me a 939 board, and a proc for cheap:)
it will be used for crunching. and i may build a machine for my girlfriend with it;)

I had one of those, wouldnt OC worth beans but was a very nice stable mobo. That would be nice. PM me details, and thanks

its a biostar ta790gx a2+ rev 5.1:)

thanks! i would appreciate that!:D

LOL, those are funny (I had a couple and they worked great) the master GPU is the lower one.
(took me a while to figure it out even though its printed right on the mobo)

they overclock well, crunch adequate, and tend to die from time to time. but biostar always rmas them. :D

I have a ASUS A8V 939 socket motherboard(fair warning, it's a AGP motherboard), make a offer. From what I rememeber, I could OC a x2 4200 to like 2900mhz, and just over 3000mhx with a x2 4800(guess I ought to put that CPU up for sell also.)

I always had very good luck with Biostar (their customer service was very good too)

Now if they would just make their AMD mobos X16 on BOTH slots and use better colors on their PCBs I would EXCLUSIVELY use their stuff instead of just for customers.

Sorry I just found a 3650 thats PCI X so I was looking for a express slot, Thanks for the offer and post.

Check with Velvet Wafer, he is looking for a 939 mobo too..

thanks Xazax but it says I need 50 posts to access the thread.. what/how much is it?

this is what that guy has listed for a 939 mobo

Gigabyte K8NXP-SLI Socket 939 AMD Motherboard

This was the motherboard in the WHS. Replaced the northbridge HSF with a 40mm aftermarket fan. This motherboard requires a weird, voltage-reglurator thing, that plugs in to what appears to be a shortened ISA slot above the CPU. That also is using an aftermarket 40mm fan. One of the 40mm fan's yellow wire was cut (I think yellow is just the motherboard speed control wire) when I was inserting some RAM. Stupid me caught the wire undernieth a stick of RAM... I think the fan still works though. If not, its just a $6 fan on the 'Egg. The motherboard is DDR, Socket 939, supports AMD Athlon 64 X2, 64, and FX64 processors. This part may sound stupid, but, I can't get it to POST with a dual core CPU. It is also SLI. It's an older board, back from when you had to flip that SO-DIMM card to toggle SLI. 2x PATA channels, floppy, and (I think) 8 (maybe more...?) SATA connections. Will bundle with the CPU and RAM if you want.

Price: $30

Thx BS for that.
(I will keep it in mind but I am hoping to help out TPU person if possible first)

You might be interested in a PM:D

Very interested and thank you GM for the deal....:respect:
