    I would wait. Nvidia will be releasing there's soon and this might help to drop the price. It is not like they are going anyplace and they will only get better from here.

    Soon as of when?
    Soon as of tomorrow?
    Or soon as of next year?

    Technology always get better, you can wait for the GT300 while I can wait for the 6870.
    The point is all nVidia has now is a jack sawed card. No launch day, no price, no shit.

    fanboyism from wizz :roll::roll:

    On topic 5850 has best price/performance IMO. For NV to show up with with card in that price range that is not going to be any time soon. So I`m for go and buy your self a present :toast:.

    2900 PRO > 5850 is a HUGE upgrade, but consider getting the 5870 instead might be worth it in the long run

    They gave more cards to test at launch this time. :eek:

    If you grab a 5 series ATi I suggest getting an aftermarket cooler at the same time. I believe there is software voltage control available for a higher OC with adequate cooling. And buy one with a decent warranty. Thats my advice, take it or leave it. ;)

    this has nothing to do with fanboyism. if nvidia has launched an amazing product and amd's ceo showed some vaporware i'd say the same. i believe in price/performance (performance being more than just fps)

    tbh .. if i somehow get an extra hd 5850 (the one i'm reviewing now has to go sit in a corner waiting to be rebenched) i'd switch my main pc to 5850 in no time. card is low power, quiet, powerful
