I would take an ECS MoBo before an Intel MoBo, but thats just me :cool: If you have a friend with a SB CPU you can ask him to use it for the flash if you want to stick with your original plan? By the time you actually start putting this rig together Haswell may be here, if that interests you i don't know?

Absolute max temp for 3570k is 105c then it starts to throttle. 90c - 95c seems like the top end LOAD temp (OC) on air, with water you can get it down into the 60s/70s. Depends on the WC kit of course....

Nah, I am going with the Intel I5 2500K, I don't want to get into that mess and then a year later i will upgrade it to i7 3770K when the Haswell release.

I would never trust an intel board for overclocking lol. And id get the newer 3570k if you don't have a 2500k already.

agreed. sounds like he knows what he wanted prior to even making this thread. If you can keep ivy bridge chips cool, they are better. 15% better in performance and consume less power.
