So I am making a build for a family member, and the budget isn't that high... It is not for gaming, so integrated graphics is fine. I was wondering which way to go, i7 750 or PII 955/965
The only difference between the 2 build will be CPU+mobo, so here we go:
i7 750 ---------------- 186.30$ at MC after tax
Gigabyte H55 s2H ------ 82.80$ at MC after tax

TOTAL: -----------269.10$ US
For the PII, I have a couple options, but here is my favorite:
just buy the PII 955 + am3 mobo here in canada:
Phenom II x4 955 -------------175$ CAD
Biostar TA790GXB3 AM3 --------75$ CAD
___________________________________
TOTAL: ------------------250$ CAD or 235$ US
problem with the PII is that I am tempted to just buy everything in canada then lol
So is my guess that the 35$ increase in price is worth it?
As for the rest of my build: (btw no HD or DVDRW in this build)
PSU- Corsair 400CX ---- 55$ US (amazon) + 15$ MIR
RAM-
For the case it is a special matter since it would be impractical getting a case across the US border to Canada (this build is for canada, but I go to US alot) unless it is SMALL
