Is it still worth getting an analog controller if you play on KB+M ?

For flight sim or similar a joystick is miles better

I want universal

Well if your playing competivly you dont want a one shoe fits all, but its your call, but controllers sticks are so small they don't allow for much greater control than flying by mouse does, you also loose finer controls for other things.

I get X/Y/Z axis all on one stick, X is bank, Y is pitch, and Z is rudder and i can control all 3 effortlessly with more control than any analog controller

For games that need driving/flying

I only really play driving games (Mainly FH4) and FIFA with my DS4. I actually prefer GTA V with KB+M including driving because I cant shoot straight with controller. The main advantage of the controller for me personally is playing games on the couch/lying down. The DS4's trackpad can be used as a mouse. The cursor tends to hop around when you click which is frustrating at times but useful for Euro Truck Sim 2/Assetto Corsa where few clicks are needed.

If you're still looking for a good gamepad, this one would fit the bill. I prefer it over the generation 3 Xbox One Wireless Controller when I'm playing Fallen Order or Mechwarrior 5.

That's a great controller! Very comfortable. I wish they had one with the SuperFamicom colour scheme like they do many of their other models of controllers, example the one below;

WoW! Its like a Nintendo NES and Dualshock got married. Love it!
Did you see this one?

I think the only device I don't have is a joystick set, I have a Logitech steering wheel/pedal set, both a wireless (Logitech) and wired controller (Microsoft, for those fighting games like DMC, Mortal Combat, etc. Actually, I believe I have a Logitech joystick somewhere around, bought it a ways back to play some flight sim games, but couldn't get into it.....

I don't know about that 8-bit controller though.
I'm loving the design and software features but wouldn't the xbox one s be better ?

yes, for games that aren't mouse-oriented such as fighting, 2D platformers, and racing(almost required, can't modulate braking/acceleration w/ kb+m) titles.

The triggers are pressure-sensitive, so the 8bitdo controller I first linked does work with casual/arcade-ish racing and flying.

Competitive/pro/simulation-like stuff really calls for dedicated controls (and more money).

worth it especially fighting games, whos used keyboard for hadouken, he might be a pros :D

nice

I have controllers for all games. I have a Neo geo arcade stick for Shumps and old arcade games. I have a Flight stick and rudder for flying games. An Xbox clone for fighting and FPS games and a Wheel for racing games.

The Sega Genesis, Saturn 1 and Dreamcast D-Pads were great for Fighters lol

I didn't have a Genesis but I did have a Dreamcast and you are absolutely right. I didn't play a lot of fighting games on that but Test Drive Unlimited and Lodoss got some serious play time and the controller was crazy sweet(once you got used to it).

My main consoles were the SNES, Neo Geo, Dreamcast, PS1 and PS2. To be honest my favorite controller would be the NEO GEO.
