All my three actual cases do have a reset switch (BeQuiet 801, Lian Li O11D XL ROG Edition, Anidees AI Crystal XL Pro). They are mid priced and above. At one hand one can think what cases the tread owner has that there is a lack. On the other hand there is no advantage to cry that they are missing at some cases. I don't miss a reset switch but the beeper is not mounted any more. But i don't cry about but bought one for a few Euros. At my actual build i won't connect the cables for the Reset switch any more. I don't know why i should. Within at least one decade i didn't need a reset switch. I only accidently pressed it because of a silly arrangement of te front panel.

It was originally to do with chariot drivers not whipping oncoming chariots horses
This.

Also, most of the world used to drive on the left, but switched to the right (Sweden being one of the last in the 1950s, afaik). So no, Britain didn't reinvent the wheel - the rest of the world did.

My MB bios has an option to use the reset button as direct boot to bios !
