Laptop case splitting open in front

I have an XPG Xenia 15 laptop, it's about a year old, and today I just noticed it is splitting open at the front of the laptop. It won't go back down either. I don't know when this started happening, it could have been like that for a while, not sure, I just noticed it now.

What should I do ? I tried contacting ADATA support, but they are not reachable, and I can't even create an account with their website because the confirmation email never comes through.

Any idea what could be the issue? Is it just something that happens with the case after a while?

Battery is bloating maybe. Might be good to disconnect it or bring it to service center.
 
+1 on checking the battery. Could be quite dangerous. Either take it apart and disconnect the battery if it's buldging, or take it to a nearest workshop for a replacement.
We've had quite a few similar issues with Dell E5550 laptops at work. One of them even popped while in-use in a car. Thankfully no smoke or fire - just a blown seal on one of the cells.

You need to be precise here. Is it more than a year and out of warranty? Or less than a year and still under warranty?

If less than a year, DO NOT TAKE IT APART!
 
New, it has a 2 year limited warranty. Get it replaced.

That's some serious bloat on that battery, i would stop using it straight away. If it bursts it will ruin the expensive laptop.

I tried to open it up. Unfortunately 2 of the 10 screws you need to remove will not budge and now are probably stripped due to the extreme effort required to attempt to remove them. I have shut it down. I guess I need to find a repair shop somewhere. One already turned down my request saying "we don't have the parts".

It's still under warranty but I can't get warranty support for it anyway because ADATA is not contactable. Their website requires me to create an account, and the email confirmation never gets sent, so I can't create an account to be able to submit a warranty request. Pretty poor customer service.

Express Mail Service, well either that or Emergency Medical Service but I kinda doubt they provide the latter.
