Logitech Support= Awesome

Arent they forced to do warranty for the time after you bought the item?

It still says it has a 3 year warranty when i go to the logitech australie site.
couldnt you call them up and bitched at them until they give you a new one if being nice doesnt work that usually does on companies

nope, they dont do shit. when i dealt with them, they gave me an RMA number- but told me only the STORE could use that number, not me.

apply for RMA through logitech, get it, go to place of purchase, provide them with item + RMA, they test it and if they deem it faulty, they send it to logitech.

this is slow and shite - but its just how they are.

This is good kno as I have several Logitech products. glad to see companies backing thier product up w/o any hassles that usually accompany RMA.

My logitech headset just died (mic stopped working) and they stopped replying to my emails after I told them I didn't have a receipt.

Sucks that I didn't buy this online because then I would have been able to pull the invoice from my order history.

Headset died after 7months of ownership and only 1 month of actual use. My nephew uses it for his PS3 modern warfare crap.

I have always been a great supporter of logitech products even if some of them are a little expensive. Ive had their, keyboards, mouses, joysticks & headsets & they have always served me very very well & survive to the point where they are old, ragged & i want something new. all with exception of the precision gaming headset -I kinda kicked the cable as i walked across the room on day & the wire for the audio snapped somewhere that i cant find - otherwise i would have repaired it myself.

Im proud of the fact that logitech makes good products that last n last n last & i am equally as proud to have never needed to deal with their support service within 15 years of owning so much of their gear.

yeah i like their products too, i just wish support was consistent around the globe.

Like, around the world if your massive, heavy Z5500's died they just needed proof (destroy it and send pics, or send the control pod back) and all was well. here, i had to post the entire lot off (cost $50) to where i bought it, and wait nearly 3 weeks before i even got an email about it.

I'm surprised my MX518 is still working. The only Logitech products I had problems with are the cheap mice...because they are cheap. I've never had to contact them for anything so I can't speak on experiences.

next time, i am so trying the "can you offer me a deal on a new one?" route :P

Update: After providing the PID, they decided to offer a one time replacement.

Everybody knows that Mordern Warfare breaks things

Have your nephew been abusing your headset?

No, he just uses them to talk and strategize with his online buddies. Never witness him slamming the headset.

He's not a psyhco like this dude.

But anyways, I'm getting a replacement so its all good.

Oh, I have a few cousins who are like little wrecking balls. Would never allow them to touch my things.

For sure man, I wrote them once just concerning the print they used on a keyboard I had after a few months the letters were wearing off the keys! Not a big deal to me, I just wanted to bring it to their attention.

They followed up by sending me a box of 5 replacement keyboards, I called them about it, they said nope that was what was marked, thank you for your business.

Ok.... Cool I guess :)

Good feeling to own a G11 and G9

Hey all,

After reading this thread a few days ago I decided to go through the channels of their customer service.

I have a pair of shitty Logitech speakers (like £20 ones, basic 2.1 setup nothing fantastic) and a couple of months ago they started to generate a background hum. I told Logitech this and they ran me through the usual, check your drivers, is your sound card working bla bla bla.

I got back to them telling them that the hum was coming from the sub so it was hard ware related. They then got back to me saying that they could replace them with a another set of 2.1 basic speakers. I was rather happy about this, I mean a free set of speakers! On the off chance however I asked them if instead I could have a part payment on the next model up, slightly better. I mean this was just a shot in the dark, I totally expected them to get back to me with a giant "LOL".

They however did not, instead they are offering me a 50% off on ANY Logitech speakers that I want.

So lets recap, I bought a basic sub standard 2.1 Logitech speaker, they generated a hum and now they are offering me a 50% off promotional code.

Can customer service get ANY better than that?!?!?!?!?!

Logitech customer service is fan-fucking-tastic.

Go with a 5.1 from Logitech then? Or that's not enough and you want 7.1? :p

I'd take advantage of that and get those Z5500's or whatever they're called.

I was thinking that, do I spend £180 on those, or £80 on the ones down (z-2300)???

z55 has 5.1, Z2300 are 2.1 (and only analogue)

They replaced a set of x-530's for me about a year and a half ago without issue. And because of that pleasant experience I bought a set of x-540's. It pays to be nice.

I had one great experience with them, then I had another where they didn't even respond to my email.

But i don't have a sound card.

but one day you will...

oh and dont forget the whole home cinema deal, it gives you those connections too.

IMHO - youd be hard pressed to find a better offer for a set of Z5500s - I bought mine for £220, over a year ago but since the recession hit - the same place i bought mine from now sells them at £260.

Id got for the Z5500 - you cant go wrong. even if you dont want to wire the rear speakers up & just keep the set 2.1 - that would definitely be £180 well spent.
