I doubt it. They'll probably just have the Xbox branch take over just like they did with most other PC titles. Expect the next PC version of Flight Simulator to be a port from Xbox though.

It would probably be easier to play, and run better. I saw it running on a multi screen HD4870 system at Quakecon and it played like frozen dog shit. Might be good to see someone new take over.

Flight Sim is a little too complicated for console I think, and Xbox 360 doesn't have the power to handle a new generation of FS. You would definitely need a new controller, Xbox controller sticks are to ungainly for a flight simulator that attempts to be realistic. Just because you can fly a vehicle in halo doesn't mean it would be good for FS.

Probably because those people don't have the slightest clue how to code for Xbox. Better off starting with people that know the system and get a few pilots to assist them than try to train PC programmers how to make use of the Xbox's extremely limited resources.


Expect it to be dumbed down a lot: more arcade than simulator.

Agreed it is going to be very complex on the 360. Fordgt I agree with you as well yet I still don't think it would be a good move to a console port IMO. I feel that people will get rather annoyed with it on a 360 due to it's complex controls and how demanding the game is. If they can pull it off than so be it.

Yeah, most of the PC fans won't like it but the way Microsoft sees it, they will more than make up for it in Xbox fans. It's become abundantly clear to me that Microsoft really doesn't care about games on PC anymore. They're all ports released about a year after the Xbox version (Halo, Fable, etc.).

Then again, they may just sell the rights to the game. Anything could happen then...

That's sad because I really hate xbox. I have a bad track record with them, example breaking after a month of use, the cd drive tearing up disks etc. To me they are junk.

Great so i guess Microsofts Train Simulator 2 (Ace's studios project using FSX engine) will be delayed then, but then it's eta is November 09.

Yeah I'm assuming it will be. The train sims I personally have never played. Always been a huge flight sim guy, I love aircraft it's a hobby to me.
