Mouse Problems

My room lights. This happened when I turned them off and back on. But didn't happen since then. I will check the outlets.
I have the PC and monitor connected to 1 extension lead, then the speakers and router into another one. I used to have it all in one, but I thought it might be an outlet causing this issue so I bought an extension lead to connect the PC and monitor into another outlet hoping it would resolve the issue, but no.
Lights are generally wired on a separate circuit to power sockets, no need to check the wall sockets if a light switch is faulty.

Does it need to trip off? I'm not overly familiar with those devices.

Anyway, not sure what you meant by "updating mouse drivers", Zowie mice are plug and play, no drivers there.
They don't run by magic, they use Microsoft drivers for HIDs.

Thank you captain obvious, what I meant was software based specific driver.

Hi,
Microsoft mouse and keyboard center, software built into win-10
It used to remove my touchpad driver software which pissed me off to no end because I couldn't adjust my touch pad any more.

If the outlet is a standard outlet, it will not trip the breaker. If an RCD (residual current device in the UK) or an GFI (ground fault interrupter in the US) outlet, such as would be found in bathrooms and kitchens (near water) then the breaker should trip with that test.

So the fact the outlets test good is great. Don't consider spending money on that tester was a waste of money. Just knowing your outlets were wired correct, are properly grounded to Earth ground, and are still in good repair is worth the price. Be sure to take that tester with you next time you visit your parents or grandparents home, etc.

Still not happy you felt a bit of a shock when flipping the light switch. That is not right and should be looked in to.

At this point, still think you should try a totally different mouse.

That said, you said this is essentially a totally different computer too.

Nothing at all? Not even the same power supply?
I've also read that you should use 2 separate cables to power up the GPU. I just use one 8+6, should I use another cable for the 6pin? Or using one cable for the RTX 3070 is enough?

So I thought I may add to this as I tested my wall sockets and know that power is not the issue (unless it's the PSU). The issue started when I wanted to upgrade my PC for better performance. First, I upgraded my CPU, motherboard and RAM. Everything was fine for some time but then the issue began. I had an old monitor which had connectivity problems and I thought of upgrading my monitor for an Alienware aw2521hfl. The monitor arrived but didn't solve my issue, so I'm wondering if a mouse could not work well with a particular monitor? I was doubting that, so I bought a new PSU as I didn't have a quality one. The PSU arrived and that also didn't help. So I was thinking what could be the problem and thought it might be the RAM as I used 2666 mhz (crucial) for an i7-10700k. I exchanged it for 3200 mhz G.Skill but that also didn't help. BIG mistake that I made was activating Windows by kmspsico after receiving my new parts. I didn't have any problems at the beginning but I remember having network problems by this activation, so I reinstalled windows (clean reinstall) and from then my mouse never worked the same. I truly don't know now.

This is how it looks. Please notice in the video how I'm slightly moving to the right while the mouse keeps dragging down. When I start moving to the left the mouse goes up. I really don't understand. Apart from this it is also not as responsive, it is really inconsistent and requires more force to turn around.

Hello taqq, i have exactly the same issue like you!!! its very weird and still not have a solution. I did a fully upgrade for my gamninc pc and the issue still occuring... its a random and strange phenomenon. did u founs a solution ? i'm really hopeless

I recently contacted Intel about this issue, they suggested to run the processor diagnosis tool and on the 2nd last fragment (CPU Load) my PC froze. After all these frustrating months I'm praying that this is the issue and today I am returning the processor, hopefully once the new one arrives I will headshot hard. I know what you feel and how frustrating this is, I spent months trying to fix this issue seemingly impossible to fix.

I d'ont think is a processor issue because i upgraded from intel i5 4th gen to AMD Ryzen 5 3600. It's feel smoother when playing but this mouse movement delay percists :/ and what it's make me crazy. it works fine some days and after 1 2 or 2 days, this weird feeling appears again, and trust me, this is not a placebo effect!

I had the same feeling, some days were better than others but never 100%, it always felt resistive. In my case it might be the processor as even Intel said it might be defective after running the diagnosis tool. I cannot think of anything else as I have set every option as it should be in game, bios, usbs and system.

guys i think i solved my issue!! i'm playing now since 72h wihtout mouse delay!! let's see if it's really helpful. try to do this steps please, it's may related to the USB 3.0 cable plugged to the mainboard (maybe interference issues) here are the steps:

YES I DID FIX THE STUTTERING !!!FINALLY!! I feel terrible for not updating this thread, my apologies. What I did that removed all stuttering was a combination of things so bare with me here: a fresh install of windows, unplugged the USB 3.0 cable from my motherboard, set my XMP profile to on and chose the "XMP 2" option in ASUS bios, changed my fps limit on my 165hz monitor from 162 to 163 in Nvidia control panel under "Max Framerate" (this seemed to be a more stable limit for some bizarre reason), completely uninstalled MSI Afterburner and Rivatuner as these introduced stuttering for me, Turned ON GPU Scheduling in Windows settings, turned on high performance power mode, turned off xbox game mode/dvr, and I also disabled all background apps in settings. The difference is night and day. Been dealing with stuttering for 4 months on my new 2k dollar pc and I can FINALLY enjoy it! There is literally 0 stutter now. PLEASE, if my situation is similar to yours, try out these steps. I suggest trying some of the less extreme stuff first (setting fps limit to 163, turning on XMP 2) before going ahead with a fresh windows install. The smaller things might actually be the issue. Please lmk if they helped you!

let me know if the problem is solved. Greats

I haven't tried your suggestions, I'm currently waiting for my processor to be collected today.

I received the new CPU and it didn't solve my issue. I truly don't know what to do anymore, spent months trying to fix this... My last option would be to leave my PC to a technician and hope for the best.

When I run the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool my PC freezes while on the CPU Load fragment. Maybe that's something related to the mouse movement? I don't get crashes while playing but when running the tool the PC freezes.
