From your personal exerience what's the usual turnaround time for an MSI RMA to be processed and return shipped?

I have an MSI 8800GTS in RMA and it's been in processing stage for a week now.

I don't know man. I sent my Gigabyte board for RMA and got it back in 2 weeks from the ship date. I never sent back anything from MSI

Should I worry ? I have heard they sometimes "lose" items in-house in there warehouse.

Or just be a little bit more patient?

You might as well call..."squeaky wheel gets the grease" and all that.

I just mailed out a vidcard to them yesterday; I got my RMA number from them 6 hours after I sent it on a Friday night so I was impressed with that. We'll see how long it takes to get something back.

Call them ;)

Just attempted to call, got voicemail.

Cool!!! I will report back to how long mine takes.

i RMA'ed my motherboard thru them and it took 3 week total from the time i shipped it out to the time i got it back...i might have to RMAt he board yet again so if i do i will let you know how long it takes...in my exp msi isnt that bad, especially because they have that useful rma checker tool thing on their website that lets you know what stage of the rma your part is in(processing, testing, replacement, blah blah blah)

JrRacinFan u might remember this...it was when i had that 2-3 pagea thread on everything that was going wrong with my computer, and finally u were like "check your heatsink mounting on the cpu" and it worked and was that haha

I remember that.

Damn man, your not having much luck with that board.

nah im not lol. i think that 1 or 2 of my ram slots has gone bad this time around...might just buy another board if i can find one on newegg with the right price and specs/features

I rma'd a P35 motherboard to them one time and it took like 3 weeks, but a video card might be different.

I've had nothing but good things to say about MSI's RMA program. Average turn around for me was 2 weeks;)

Sweet! Thanks guys. SO I will just be a little bit more patient with them.

SO, I got a a tracking # emailed me today. Should see the new card I'm guessing Friday or Monday. Leaning more towards Monday.

gratz dude. im thinkin i might just have to RMA my board and be w/o a home computer for another 3 weeks...its simply just not cost effective to buy a new lga775 board, get a used Q9650, and a decent cooler, because by the time i did all that usb 3.0 and sata iii would be out lol.
so, rma my board, get a decent cooler, and oc the crap outta my puny dual core to tide me over

Thanks man! Wish I could help yah out with that board. Ya, if your going to be strictly buildihng a new system I say scratch all that and go with AM3 to keep it cost effective. 720 BE's are very nice :)

i hear people say that quite a lot...i just dont know enough about the amd series to feel comfortable doing a build with them

its wierd, back in the day i was a die hard amd/ati fan, but now im die hard intel/nvidia haha

My card's been received (only 2 days wooooo) and is "in the receiving process."

Whatever that means.

I took my MSI mobo(rig 1) to their service counter and got another one 2 days later. It's one of the benefits of living in Taiwan :)

I got it back right on the spot, hows that? :p
Well... That sucker died within 7 days so they just replaced it.

:respect: You are not the GOD but a GOD!!

Card has been officially received an now is in the "processing" stage. I'm guessing this is the part where the waiting becomes excruciating.

I love the little running man on the RMA progress screeen though; follow along with my RMA!

 that little running guy is funny.. from the way it looks MSI doesn't have bad RMA.hope everything goes smooth don and JR :toast:

Update:

The good news: My card was replaced, and it got here today.

The bad news: They replaced a nGTX260 216 OCv3 55nm With a reference GTX260 192sp 65nm. Looks like I got a phone call to make; don't think I deserved to be downgraded. :shadedshu

Ahhh man ...

That's horrible news! They should have at least offered a refund before that. Most companies I know at least give an email or something if they have to give you a different revision of a card. Better get your butt on the phone man! :banghead:

EDIT:
Oh and if you get voicemail, leave a message and callback again. Then if no return call in an hour, call again... rinse and repeat.
