Hi friends I need ur help to OC my CPU . I have Intel E4500 + Biostar TP I45 mobo (BIOS of this mobo is totally different from others).Transcend DDR2 2Gb 800MHz RAM.

I am really noob about OCing.

tbh, it is dual channel ram, so 1 stick is gonna cripple you straight away.

Also go into you ram advanced settings in the BIOS and manually set the figures to 4-4-4-12, the BIOS is setting 6-6-6-15 for some crazy reasons? Have you ever tried the setting the BIOS to optimum defaults on the first page i think it is?

I reset BIOS ,all settings are at Default ...

that image is loading way too slow. please re-upload it at www.techpowerup.org

try raising your FSB from 200Mhz to 266Mhz, and watch your ram speed - make sure it doesnt go above or below 800Mhz (400Mhz in CPU-Z) - this would be the "DRAM Frequency - Auto" option.

Not crazy reason at all, the original Jedec timing for DDR2 800 was something like 6-6-6-18 :p
It has been CL6 for a long time now, just that faster ram have been released doesn't mean the bios is crazy.

actually, so that we know what timings his ram SHOULD be using, he needs to show us a screenshot of the SPD tab in CPU-Z.

telling him to set 4-4-4-12 is just stupid, if his ram cant handle it (or requires higher voltage to run it)

Here is SPD screen shot :-

The easiest way I see it is to set the FSB to 400 and lower the CPU multi to 8x.
Set the FSB:DRAM ratio at 1:2.
Make sure C1E and SpeedStep are all off before you do this.
This should be a good place to start.

Edit: Just in case, make sure you know how to reset your bios if your PC doesn't boot. :p

I know about reset Bios ...

I just need step by step instructions for OCing my CPU ...

DRAM Frequency - makes sure it is 1:2 or something that results in 800Mhz
A conroe should be able to get to at 3.2Ghz @ that stock voltage

Doing that PC wont boot ...

With these settings you should then be able to start working on fine tuning your fsb.

DRAM RCOMP Configuration - Auto
Static tREAD Value (PL)-Auto
Cofigure DRAM timing by SPD - Disable -Once disabled you should be able to set the following timings

5-5-5-18 tRC-25
I know they are loose right now but we are eliminating the ram out of the equation for the overclock.

Extra DRAM timing setting - Auto

CPU Voltage - 1.4v
DDR Voltage -1.9v
Chipset Voltage - 1.15v or a small touch above
FSB voltage - 1.2v

I don't understand how to set this settings ??? In bracket settings are given in Auto,- 0.50v and + 0.700 vformat ...

Well for example your default CPU voltage is 1.288v, adding 0.12V will give you about 1.4v ;)

Edit:
Doing that PC wont boot ...
For that I am sorry, I forgot that the conore is a 65nm chip and require more voltage than 45nm chips that we are used to. :respect:

Unless it's a percentage based like DFI's CPU Special Add. If it is do whatever results in as close to 1.4v as possible.

Ohh now i understand ...

Oh also, FSB to NB Latch set it to 1333 if you can.

Post back your results, right now I am busy wrestling with this. :p

I do settings what u suggest but get some strange problem ,after boot and before OS load i get below msg :

TRAP000030================ Exception ===============================

tr-FFF Cr0-00000 .....

... bla bla bla

like that ...

And i also not found tRC settings ...

FSB to NB Latch -1333

Ok, BSOD. Have you tried the 9x multi? Same results?

Is it BSOD ??? I don't know bout this .No i Not tried 9x multi . Wait some time i will check and tell u ...

Edit :-

I set Multi to 9x system boot fine,OS loaded. Now i check stability using Orthos ...

9x multi with settings above should give you 3Ghz with 667mhz ram. Want to give us a cpuz screenshot?

also try out tpu capture utility for your screenshots. www.techpowerup.com/tpucapture
