Need some system upgrade help

looks very good bundles but sadly i dont live in the states.
If you don't mind me asking, where do you live? There might be a forum member that might know some deals in the area where you live.

That motherboard that you have is your biggest issue since you probably cannot upgrade the CPU since there is no BIOS update for it. A cheap way of updating would be to just get another AM4 motherboard and reuse your CPU and RAM for now and then get a 5700X or 5800X3D and DDR4 3600Mhz ram latter.

If you have the money, the AM5 or the Intel 13 gen platforms would be better upgrade move.

finland. Yeah i will think about upgrading mobo + cpu + ram. Not decided yet. If i go with am4, i will most likely go with 5800x3d cpu

ppl seem to forget this isnt an upgrade, its to get the ram/bus speed up to what the cpu supports.
anyone saying its not making sense, turn down your stuff to 3200 on the ram with 1:1 on bus and lets see the numbers...

unless you plan on spending time with e brand new platform, stay with am4, for now cheaper to get (no cpu needed),
and you can save some funds and get a 5800X3D when you find a sale.

to make use of what the 3 and 5 series can do, you should run 3600 on the ram, and 1:1 for IF (1800 mhz),
and using cl14 at those speeds usually gains are significant for ram r/w/c, almost double vs jedec.
should help feeding the gpu...

5800X3D if the board supports it. Is the 16GB really not enough? I went for 32GB just for future-proofing as I'm not planning to upgrade from AM4 anytime soon; I'll get also a 5800XD sooner or later.

Most likely my mobo is not supporting cause its prebuilt etc. So, in finland i should check from jimms or do u know different sites which has bundles?

Does Asus offer a BIOS update? I prefer Jimms and Multitronic mostly.

Nah, latest one is from 2020.
Damn, so that's out of the question then. I'd check Jimms for bundles then, also selling those which you have now will give some cashback.

hello, after long time i have decided to upgrade my mobo, cpu, cpu cooler, case and buy a new ssd.
I would like to ask a question about old ssd and windows 10.
I will use old SSD (windows10 is downloaded in it) in new system aswell. Can i use it? i have a prebuilt pc right now so my windows 10 is OEM and linked to my current motherboard. I will change the motherboard so can i use the old windows 10 key on new system? Before changing whole system, what should i do on my old computer? Should i deactivate windows somehow? This is really complicated lol.

see if you can "connect" the serial to a Microsoft account.
but you can usually change hw 5 times before they want you to contact MS.
usually reusing a win install on not identical hw, isnt a good idea, BUT, you can uninstall all drivers,
and use it to boot with the new board installed.
then swap the new drive and do a fresh install (dl latest win 10 build iso, use rufus to make a bootable usb).

if you cant activate win, just call the number, tell them your board/drive died and had to be replaced,
worst case, spend some money and get a 10 pro license thru one of the sale offers here on tpu (or guru3d),
i usually see prices around 10$.

usb stick for booting

win 10 sale

So, i will boot windows with usb flash drive via bios and install the windows. I will connect with my microsoft account, yeah my serial is linked to my microsoft account but i dont think its gonna work cause my pc was prebuilt so windows10 is OEM licensed. I am not sure about rufus cause i never used it but thanks for the reply.

download the tool.
have 8GB usb ready.
run the exe you've downloaded and it will prepare windows installation usb drive automatically for you.
you can use this drive to install windows on whatever pc you like and then depending on the licence key you add for activation you'll get OEM or retail windows.
i use gamers outlet net for windows keys but i wouldnt make payment w/o paypal even thou i never had problem with keys from them.

@jimijefet
you could "clean" win from drivers with DDU (clean, reboot, clean, reboot), AFTER you uninstalled any amd/Nv related drivers thru windows.
swap the board, then boot and install the latest drivers (amd chipset + gpu driver).

once you know its running, use rufus (it guides you) to make a usb installer (needs win 10 as iso) to boot from.
