Geez, Vape products... and they ain't getting my dam nicotine!

Also some info on ipv6, even if your isp doesn't support it yet, a phenomenon called "leaking" can occur. If you don't fully disable ipv6, a vpn won't be fully effective.
My isp does not yet support ipv6, but ipv4>ipv6 translation can result in leaking. I don't fully understand it yet, but you are not safe on an ipv4 only isp.

As for the "Free Healthcare" plan, I assume you're referring to the "Affordable Health Care Act", which I hope we can agree is not actually "free", nor was ever reported to be.

TL;DR: We need competition not government.

I don't know anyone that actually had their health insurance premiums drop...or even become more affordable. Actually, I know several people that qualified for ObamaCare only to have to get a shittier and shittier plan each year because they still couldn't afford it. So they have something along the lines of $6000 deductibles which essentially means they will have to file for bankruptcy anyway. Lot's of help. *

The only point I am trying to make is that the government can't do anything right. We are better off with a stalemate every year than party power switching every 4 years and each party just undoing what the other did.

EDIT: * My own health insurance has tripled while my benefits have been halved. I am not alone among many people. Just remember: 'We have to pass it to see what's in it.' - Pelosi

Try our "free" health plan. Longest wait times to see a doctor in the free world. Longest times to get needed surgeries. Most expensive medications. I've been blind in one eye for 8 months, and can't seem to find anyone that can do anything about it. Great stuff....

yes I had that unfortunate experience a few years back in Calgary. Very long wait and then they wanted me to pay cash even though I had insurance. I was told to get reimbursed thru insurance after, I passed and just limped along for 3 more days until I got back in to Alaska. Before that I thought the VA was bad.

What if one day suddenly you can't access this site? It's going to happen. How about putting some info in the site to inform people how to fight that.
Even much lesser sites are putting up warnings about this. Normally I hate this cr*p, but in this case, it needs to be done.

It's just funny how people are freaking out how ISP's will charge them millions for 56k connection and for separate Facebook access (which is btw illegal in USA since late 90's), but no one seems to be bothered by the fact that mega corporations are dictating how internet is used and what info you can access. You know, like all the countless cases where Twitter, Facebook or Google censored, blocked or banned certain people or content from their platforms, search engines and so on because it didn't go along with their (pretty much always hardline leftist) ideology. It's also funny how people never cared that FCC has slammed these exact companies and also ISP's several times for terrible business practices that negatively affected consumers and actual net neutrality. But now that there is discussion about this again, oh noes, FCC wants to take away our interwebs. No they don't. All this moral panic is being generated by those exact corporations I mentioned before (and their fanboys) because if government dictates how corporations have to run their business with global consumers in mind, that kinda screws up their plans. I mean, if Twitter gets order from the FCC that they cannot and must not ban people from their platform because they happen to have right leaning political beliefs, that kinda fucks up Twitters shitty plans. Or ordering Google not to ban apps like Gab from their GooglePlay because it's a "hate speech" platform (by Google's idiotic leftists standards of course). You know, all these things would screw their agendas of controlling the web themselves. Because if we are honest here, if you don't show up in Google Search, you basically don't exist for half the planet. And that IS an issue and Google is well aware of it. And so are all the other greedy corporations. Taking away this freedom from them makes them nervous. FCC aims to control exactly that. The actual net neutrality. I agree that certain things were rather vague, but in general, they were aimed in the right direction.

Google blocked an alt-wrong hate speech platform, and offered them an opportunity to resubmit once they basic standards (Don't be a Dick), I assume they'll do that.
And I hope they sink :)

"It has been called the "Twitter for racists" by Salon,[27] and was described as "hate-filled echo chamber of racism and conspiracy theories" by Andrew Anthony writing for The Guardian.[32] An editorial in Wired criticized Gab for not explicitly prohibiting hate speech.[21] The only restrictions on expression on the site are on threats of violence, promotion of terrorism, illegal pornography, and doxing.[5] "

And no, it's not illegal to "adjust" download speeds based on the traffic passing. It should be, but it's not.

Salon, Wired and The Guardian. Literally all the worst hardline leftist outlets. Surprised yet they say those things?

They hate Gab because it panders to NO ONE and bans NO ONE because of their ideology or politics and gives everyone equal platform, even to those who are hated by the leftists. At Gab, they don't care whether you're leftist or right winger and they don't care about "being offended". They offer tools so that individuals can ban/block/hide messages that contain user specified words as well as usual block tools seen on Twitter and others. And that just rages leftist Google which is why they actually kicked them off GooglePlay (and Apple basically just followed because they didn't want to be nazis and all that crap because everyone who doesn't pander to leftists is a nazi if you don't know it yet). Because if you look at the actual situation, Twitter is the exact same thing as Gab, except they actively ban and censor only right wing people and people who disagree with leftist ideologies. That's no secret. Twitter has huge problems with pedophilia content as well as ISIS recruiters that operate freely and even have blue freaking checkmarks. And yet they are still present on the store. But Gab got sacked just because they decided to offer an actual open platform where no one is discriminated against. And then got disciminated by the leftist corporations. So much for open and neutral internet...

As for the illegality, I was taking about separate charging for content access (Youtube, Facebook, Netflix etc) which was the main outrage for net neutrality clusterfuck. It's illegal to charge seperately for video content access or having it prioritized as a paid service. In fact FCC has slammed ISP's on several occasions because they were actively throttling Youtube and Netflix. Have you all already forgot that? FCC ensured you can today access both services without being punished for it becaue it's a high demanding content (takes lots of bandwidth) and screwed up the countless "Unlimited plan" schemes ISP's were selling en mass well knowing they don't actually have the capacities to accomodate it. Which is why they sneaked in throttling.

It's amazing how clueless people are who scream for absolute net neutrality, not knowing we don't actually have it since it's all owned and run by mega corporations (like Google) and how quickly they forget all the good deeds FCC did so far to ensure actual net neutrality.

@RejZoR, the Guardian is far from extreme left wing. It's a bit too condescending and tolerant to a fault but extreme left wing is ultra socialist stuff. You're confusing tolerance and concern for equality with left wing ideology.
There's an alarming tolerance of the notion that the NSDA were some sort of awesome political party and Nazis weren't all that bad. All extreme national political ideology is bad news. It uses ingrained xenophobic attitudes, inherent racism and intolerance to sub culture.
ISIS are extremely right wing and like the alt-right, the supporters seek only their like minded platforms which you defend. Free Speech is a right but incitement to hatred is a moral crime and incitement to murder is a genuine crime. Censoring those who create such incitement in weak willed, limp dick mother fuckers is justifiable.

As for NN, let's see what happens.

Yeah, only problem is, these days, just disagreeing with someone makes you a nazi. Being against mass immigration on Facebook meant you are a nazi. You disagree with feminists, you nazi! This is why all this namecalling and flinging of labels at each other leads nowhere. And that's where Gab would shine, because they don't care about any of that unless you're parading on their platform how you want to gas all the Jews and hang all ther "niggers". Then they'll probably still step in. But if you say fuck off feminazi, that on you to deal with it and block it. It's why we have this snowflake culture, everyone so sensitive and triggered everyone needs to post trigger warnings and hide "sensitive" content from them ahead of time, otherwise they'd implode. And this is predominantly only present in the leftist ideological culture. The very same people who are the biggest fanboys of Google, Twitter, Facebook and the likes. Silicon Valley is basically entirely leftist, just like almost entire california where it's located. Do you remember who they predominantly voted for? Democrats. The left. It's all connected, but people are too blind to see it because they lost their shit the moment they heard ISP's are gonna charge them extra for Facebook (which is what I mentioned it's already illegal to do). Anyway, I'm ranting here now, but shit goes far deeper behind the lines and if you're not an idiot, you can see it. You just have to think about the situation from a realistic perspective and not just "oh my god they want to take my web away".

I support FCC to put pressure on companies to ensure actual net neutrality, like they were doing till now. But people must logicall ypressure on FCC to remain that way and not start pandering to right wingers as it's supected to be the case now. If that happens, they won't be any better than leftist mega corporations already are. In the end globally we'd all be at loss. It's why some government regulation is needed.

(aside from the clear exceptions of enciting harm or panic) All speech=free speech. especially unpopular opinions. even if i dont agree with them, i defend the right of those who express them. the second you draw a line using the word "moral" ,is the second you start down a path like the terrorist hate group antifa.

So Twitter has been actively shutting down accounts associated with ISIS propaganda. Are you saying it should not do that? Where do you draw that line?

Disagreeing with someone does not make you a Nazi. Don’t make stuff up.

Soros is not pleased that two little sheep escaped brain washing.

Don’t think for yourselves. Let the big corporations think for you and tell you what to do.

o_O I am amazed (I guess I shouldn't be, LOL), how far off-topic this has gone. Can we stick with the concerns (or non-concerns) about the U.S. repealing its Net Neutrality stance after a short 2 year stint?

Offtopic? Dude, this IS even more relevant than everything else people whine and panic about. So, you want corporations to control your internet. Good luck with the "net neutrality" then. It's gonna be shit. It already is. Read my last 3 posts why.

Noooo, read MY posts. I had no change in services pre-NN, during NN, and all plans and services will be continuing in my area now that it is gone again. That's all I said. It is certainly not the end of the world.

o_O I am amazed (I guess I shouldn't be, LOL), how far off-topic this has gone. Can we stick with the concerns (or non-concerns) about the U.S. repealing its Net Neutrality stance after a short 2 year stint?

Sure it never should have existed in the first place and didn't actually do anything in those two years. As can be shown by the ISP lowering speeds for torrent users.

the only reason celebs are pro nn as it is is the Ajit Pai repeal will dimiish copyright stuff bigly.

My insurance doubled under the “affordable care” for the same coverage. :(
and my copays went up bigly... to where I have to flat out reject some scripts and my docs hated me for it... 190 copay on a 250 dollar script is robbery... when it used to be 20 for the same damn thing. #thanksobama
