I've just built my first PC (technically my housemate put it together) and it's started crashing constantly when I try to play high-end games such as Warzone. I have:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 6-Core Socket AM4 3.4GHz
Power Supply: Thermaltake 550W Smart BX1 80 Plus Bronze Non-Modular
Storage: Crucial BX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5-inch SSD
Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M-H AM4 mATX
RAM: Thermaltake 16GB (2x8GB) R021D408GX2-3200C16D H-ONE 3200MHz DDR4
GPU: Asrock Radeon RX 5600 XT Challenger D 6G OC
OS: Windows 10 Home, v 2004, Build 19041.508
It works fine for less intensive things like Runescape + watching Twitch (although it did crash once doing this), it handled me running Furmark for 15mins. When I go to launch games like Warzone it crashes at various stages, loading into the menu, in the game, anywhere and inconsistently. Interestingly, when I was using Adrenalin v 20.5.1 I could get warzone to run inconsistently, Division 2 would crash pretty much straight away, and Bullets Per Minute would crash loading the first level. Now running v 20.8.3 Warzone always crashes, BPM returns that Unreal Engine 4 has crashed, and Division 2 seems to be running for the moment.
When it crashes, it displays a green screen for a few seconds 90% of the time, and then fails to detect input to the monitor but does not shut off the PC. After trying to reinstall the chipset drivers I had a different graphic error on screen, but that was only during the restart.
My housemate has an almost identical PC, only difference is that his 5600 is made by Gigabyte and mine by ASRock, and as soon as we tried switching our GPUs, his had the same green screen crash immediately and mine seemed to be working.
I've tried uninstalling all of the AMD drivers and reinstalling, still crashing.
Suggestions? I'm in the process of contacting the store I bought it from for a replacement.
