Anyone wondering why demos for recent games such as Battlefield 2142 aren't working need look no farther then their version of DirectX. People using a version earlier then the October 2006 version may have lots of problems with the game, and the game might not even run. As more and more games require the latest version of DirectX, it's probably a good idea to upgrade. You can grab the latest copy here.
