I uninstalled EVGA Precision, card kept crashing, more likely due to heat even when the fan it up to 100%. Sooner or later when i get a job i get get one of the GTX 2*0 cards and hope that OCs well.

I didnt see this thread before, o well, i have a 8600GT that i used for a good yr or so, and the scores i have on the side was using the 8600GT at stock speeds and using old drivers, about a yr ago.

3DMARK01SE = 27262
3DMARK05 = 10358
3DMARK06 = 4418

Anyway thats what i scored about a yr ago.

Also im looking for another 7600GT or 8600GT so if anyone here has any of those that they dont want anymore, please let me know :)

mine gets 7217 in 3dmark06

Hehe, I just got my guinea pig Inno3D 8600GT (with 512MB GDDR3 Samsung's, to boot!) and will try my hand at overclocking before I touch the GTX 260. :)

Why overclock an 8500? I had one - it sucked.

I mean I guess that's the philosophy behind, but and upgraded card would be much better.

By the way I need to sell me 8500GT if anyone wants it.

In my case it is a PCI video card for a small rig (And there's nothing better for the PCI for a normal price - the 9400GT is way too expensive). In most cases in this thread it is a case of "Why the heck not ?".
