Old games that you just have to play every once and a while?

Monkey Island 2.

Mario Tennis
Super Mario Kart 64

The four player modes in these games are so fun.

Rock and Roll Racing (snes)
Diablo 2 (PC)
Settlers (Amiga)

Painkiller & the Oddworld series.

Civ 3-4
Red Alert 2
Warcraft III

I would go crazy if I couldn't pick up a little Metal Slug and Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 every few months or so.

EDIT: and Mario Kart 64 and Mike Tysons Punchout NES version

The SNES version of rock and roll racing is much better than the megadrive version

Hell yes it is :rockout: Love playing that game, still use quotes from it today, like if my friend goes down the wrong street id say<*Steve is headed the wrong way* or *Steve looks lost out there* lol

Bioshock
Serious Sam: First Encounter
Crysis
Quake 2

I reinstalled Age of Empires 3 over the weekend. It made me cry about how bad SupCom2 and C&C4 really are. RTS games, pffft.

I actually prefer AoE2, but you have to jump through hoops to get it to work in widescreen, and even then it isn't "right". I might build a legacy system just for it.

Space/Police/Kings Quest Series on occasion (with some Leisure Suit Larry in the mix as well)

No mention of Hero's Quest/Quest for Glory in that Sierra mash? Sad.:wtf:

Love me some Sierra games.

Hybris (Amiga)
Silencer no Remorse
Descent 2.. seriously, ever tried playing it.. drunk?
Iron Blood (old DOS game, still cool)
Screamer (car game, lousy graphics, great game, great soundtrack)

Nice. I love that game. My old games list

NFS High Stakes/Hot Pursuit 2/ Underground 2
Screamer 4x4
Command & Conquer: Generals – Zero Hour

Tetris(Calculator :) ), Citadel(Acorn Electron) and Die Hard Trilogy (PS1)

Warzone 2100. Now released as open source. Amazing RTS game for ~1998. Best with vtol truck mod, researchmod2, and limits mod. Glide rules!
Red Alert 2 (with or without Yuri's revenge) I can do Chrono Storm in ~9 minutes, if everything goes just right:D

Love me some Sierra games.

It goes without saying. Those games were FANTASTIC. True story. I ordered QFG2: Trial by Fire, and sent my payment in for both the game and the hintbook. I guess my dad shorted them for the hintbook, but they sent it anyway with a note saying I should pay for one next time.

Sierra was an awesome company for a teenager.

Before I started PC gaming a couple of years ago, I kept up with playing my older games a lot more. If I ever get back to it, here's what I'd be playing:

Final Fantasy VI/VII/VIII/X
Secret of Mana
Chrono Trigger
Shadow Hearts/Shadow Hearts Covenant

I used to cycle through these games every few months since their release. I still get the urge to replay them regularly, it just seems like I never have time anymore. :( Back in the SNES days though, I would just cycle through FFVI, Chrono Trigger, and Secret of Mana. I did that until I got a PS1 in '99.

1. Delta Force 2, TFD, and BHD
2. Need for Speed Most Wanted and Underground 2
3. Matt Hoffman's Pro BMX
4. Minesweeper
5. Rogue Spear

Often it has nothing to do with the games themselves—it's pure nostalgia for some of them. But Delta Force BHD and NFSMW are truly downright fun.

Hero's Quest / Quest for Glory - 1 & 2 ( After they went "all-mouse" - It kinda killed adventure games for me)
Diablo 1 & 2 - WITH HIGH RES PATCHES - It's like a brand new game!
Dungeon Keeper
Starcraft 1 - WITH HIGH RES PATCHES - It's like a brand new game!

Honorable Mention :

Legend Of Kyrandia Series

I'm playing Heroes of Might and Magic III now.

If only my other older games' CD still work like Fallout 2, MDK and Command and Conquer Red Alert (plus Counterstrike and Aftermath)...

I play PS1 games through an emulator. My actual PlayStation's beyond repair anyway, but the cd's I have still work.

so many Diablo II :D

yeah, that game rocks.. whenever I go field work, I play that game on the company laptop as well lol..

Warcraft 3 as well (DotA).

- Resident Evil 1,2 & 3
- Starcraft Broodwar
- Empire Earth
- CS Source

:toast:

System Shock 2.
Might & Magic 6 - 9. (every year ~ year and half, I replay them all.)
Planescape: Torment.
Realms of Arkania 3: Shadows Over Riva. (dos version)
X-Com: UFO Defense & X-Com: Terror From The Deep (dos and Win respectively)
Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II.
The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall. (still waiting for a sequel)
Fallout 2. (I loved Fallout 1 also, but it just didn't have any replay value left after nine or ten times through.)
Rollercoaster Tycoon 3. (Yeah, I admit it.)

Megalomania
SystemShock2

1)Thief 1 - i usually play it just to see the intro movies :o
2)Thief 2 - regularly play fan missions for it
3)System Shock 2 - play it from time to time
4)Freespace 2 the FOSS version is pretty good
5)Rune:Halls of Valhalla - awesome multiplayer

I also have some games like Day of the tentacle and UFO under dosbox, but lately I haven't felt like playing them...
