Infoworld started a Save XP petition on their website. The main goal of this petition is to get Microsoft to continue handing out Windows XP licenses beyond the June 30 deadline Microsoft put out. Fortunately for Windows XP diehards everywhere, an astounding 75,000 people have signed this petition so far. Infoworld plans on presenting this petition to Microsoft when they reach 100,000 signatures. If you have not already done so, I suggest you sign the petition if you feel that Windows XP should be around a little longer than June 30, 2008.

i just signed

petition signed.

i will not be forced to use ms's POS spyware bloated OS. Period.

....even if that means that we'll be forced to use other methods of obtaining xp.

you got my vote

ahh, the death rattle put to paper ^^

xp will always be around, and new keys certainly will not be needed

anyways, good luck to em, im not fussed either way

Yeah I love vista and I kind of wish more people would like it too.

But I won't be an ass and force people to use it. I'll go head and put in my vote.

Can I just point out that they are destined to fail from the beginning?

100,000 people signing a petition is frigging peanuts when you consider the sheer number of people using MS software. Especially since XP is the most pirated OS out there anyway lol.

waste of time, MS will never extend the life time of this regardless of how many people sign, people need to move on, something i tend to do when i get the funds.

Signed. XP:nutkick:Vista

duno, 98 got like 2 extra years thanks to acction like this!!!

XP is still going to be around - just no new updates etc

Exactly wl if ppl are happy to use a os that wont be supported and no updates then more power to them its already had its life extended a few times xp is old let it die gracefully.

Good point.

Do you guys know how many windows me machines roll into our PC repair store......yea.

Why not! Signed.

doesn't really take any time to sign...why not and if it does work then that would just be cool

Yep I moved on and came back. For now I just leave my Vista collect some dust.

to bad vista had so much hype, oh well i guess well just have to try and get them to extend good ol' useful reliable xp, i have no idea how were ever going to be able to cope...

oh well, it gives people hope and takes 5 seconds to sign.. its well worth 5 seconds of my life.. as i will not use vista for a long time to come.

Sorry, but with the current state of driver and hardware support, they have another year to go before they piss off enterprise customer with this. I doubt it's even true - "the only thing worse than being talked about... it NOT being talked about"

Yes, I signed :)
