I got it soon as it came out and did install and play it. I got through quite a lot of it, but never got round to finishing it. Kinda a strange game and while it was very good, it didn't quite have the same compelling quality for me as the HL games, especially HL2.

I'll be getting P2 though, the trailer looks really good.

Portal was fun and funny but way to short my first time through took me 1hour and i think 27min. i love the ending song!
I still think Portal should have a map editor so people can make their own crazy test rooms. and that vid was awesome

it does have a map editor.

the engine seems to have gotten a pretty nice overhaul, i see lots of dynamic shadows flying around in the video. i will definitely be buying this

I completed Portal 2 or 3 times, I have a habit of replaying all my old games when I upgrade hardware...
I agree with Delta, it's too short; hopefully Portal 2 with have a longer single-player game. Moar puzzles!
Think I might have to reinstall Portal just to try out the map editor

Portal was short because it was released as a free (included in Orange Box), proof of concept game as opposed to a full title.
