K So Yeah Maybe Try Sonic Studio 3 (It's Just Asus's ROG Version Of Nahimic)
And If U Still Want Nahimic Try Using APO3 (Assuming Ur Using APO4 Otherwise Use APO4)
Or Try A Older Version (First Try The AboveThen I'll Send It Later If None Worked)

And When U Said Pop3 You Were Referring To APO3 Right?
 
the same happens with APO3

The sound is quite high pitched :/

Hi all, just bought an ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-F GAMING WIFI Mainboard with the Realtek ALC4080 USB Audio chipset. However I couldnt select 5.1 speakers in Windows 11 when connected via SPDIF to my Home theatre. So i tried to install the latest AAFOptimus pack. The Installation worked very well but somehow it's still the Windows Driver installed (i definitly deinstalled all drivers before). What Im doing wrong?

This used to happen to me. To me it was a mix of AAF driver + very old Realtek driver mixed together or something.
What solved the issue for me: Uninstalling and installing everything after booting the system to Safe Mode, and do what is needed there.
Try this hope it can also fix it for you!

I couldn't get the Nahomic to work. I got used to the sonic, deactivating the intelligent sound I don't hear the treble so much.

May I ask which control have you installed? Sonic Studio? Soundblaster X-Fi? Soundblaster Connect? Ill tried it - but still no luck with soundblaster connect. Will continue to test
 
so these are the right steps to update :
(i have already DTS Interactive working but have crackling sound ONLY on Youtube and want to update)
- start windows
- remove all things with DriverStoreExplorer
- restart?????
- install the package i need/i want?

Hey everyone. I have decided to update the new driver. Bad decision. I use Win10 Pro btw. Latest updates. First i completely erased any sign of the old driver AAF driver installed last year and worked fine. After installing the latest update, Battlefield 2042 stopped working. Nvidia Share/Shadowplay also stopped working! (Unable to open share message) . I finally fixed it by reinstalling VC Redist from Microsoft : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170

And now i found out certain keyboards shortcuts also stopped working. Such as Ctrl+Z. Hopefuly OP reads this and fixes. And last Dolby 5.1 and DTS 5.1 are also gone from options....the new version is fubar.

Power cycling the system did the job. A hard reset via the reset button did not the job...
another question:
I want to retask the other jacks as free as i can, to get 2 main stereo jacks which play the same signal (for decoupling the audio sinks) and also to send out the same audio via optical jack. I know for the mirror to the optical I can use "stereo mix" as described many times, but is it also possible to tie them natively together via driver mods? Is it also possible to use the old hd audio manager with the current version for this job? I do not like the new uwp apps. I tested the uwp app but did not find any retasking or advanced option. what did I wrong?

Dear Forum,

due I wanted to get more features on my mobo (Asrock steel legend B550) I installed the modded Driver in W10. I wanted to reassign the plugins and outs. (2 pins on stereo front etc.) I am using it in a W10 vm in proxmox with the sound card passed through.

My question: is it possible to destroy the chip or hardware configs with the tweak tool?

I am asking because I now have no sond device attached anymore. Only the hd audio bus.
Before installing the modded Driver I made a snapshot of the VM. After I got into trouble I reverted the snapshot and the device is still gone. I reinstalled the modded drivers - no sound device.
I created another vm and booted a linux with the card passed and I get "snd_hda_intel no codecs found!"

I rebooted the host (not power cycled as I am not at home at the moment) but things are still the same.
The device with the hardware ID: FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_1220&SUBSYS_128492225&REV_0001 completely disappererd while the High Definition audio controller VEN_1022&DEV_1487&SUBSYS_22241849 is still present...

Driver Problem Prob, First Try Stock Drivers, If That Doesn't Work Try Another Modded Driver From Like Say @Ferather, But If Problem Still Persists Try Uninstalling Current Driver And Try The "High Definition Audio Device" Mic, And When U Said U Bought A BT Headphones And Then Tested It Do U Mean U Could Hear The Mic On Headphones Or... Cuz BT Headphones Come With A Separate Mic Built-In (If It Has A Mic), So Maybe It Is Hardware If The "High Definition Audio Device" Doesn't Work.
 
Hi Alan! I had a hard drive fail and lost old version save. Any chance you have the june 2020 version for alc892? Por favor.

Hey Not Alan But Maybe Be More Specific About Which One U Want,
Like Which Version Is Or The Name Yk Cuz Could Help U I Have A Collection Might Have What Ur Looking For :)
 
Well since its not listed all I recall is publish date was June 2020 and I think last two numbers were 96. Its was a "legacy" version as I have Windows 10 running on Win8 architechture. Realtek ALC892


***This is fresh win10x64 install and I tried latest but ofc creative does not recognnize, kga does not work but I did not even getr the realtek cp! I have no sound. I hate windows.

I just need Realtek control panel if anyone has old build as I only use the DTS but it worked before .
