That means? The Gigabyte Board has the 889 Chip which supports both. But not on every Mainboard. It must be disabled by the driver.

With various software utilities like environment sound emulation, multiple-band and independent software equalizer, dynamic range compressor and expander, optional Dolby® Digital Live, Dolby® PCEE program and DTS® CONNECT™

just wanted to chime in ...

the drivers work fine for me, as you can see:

as my headphones are of ... inferior quality, i didn't notice BIG differences, though. stills sounds a little better!

the software works also fine (as far as i can tell ...), but i have the issue with the trial version. are there any news out there concerning this?

the only thing thats interesting me of the software is the CMSS-3D as i use headphones most times.

No one here will crack the software, as piracy and warez arent officially allowed.

sure thing. but maybe someone found a kreative way of using it nonetheless. the way with AppSetup of normal drivers didn't work for me, unfortunatly.

you could try PMing people, perhaps someone knows something.

That someone ain't me. All I know is somebody wen't out of their way to make sure that crapative software can't be cracked.

edit: nvm got them.

the whole idea is brilliant, i have been trying to do the same thing on my own with my laptop, although it has a stac 9200 chip from idt. I realised all this was possible when i realised the soundcraper upgrade for my laptop that was masqueraded as hardware turned out to be nothing more than some creative marketing. It was nothing more than some dlls running on top of somone elses hardware.

I realised then that lots of chips can handle plenty of dsp theese days and so all they do is virtualize the hardware with the device driver to make all of its functions visible to software then all the magic happens up in user mode.

What i would really like to see is some documentation on what you did and what you learned so we can start fishing and not gettin our fish handed to us. Knowedge is power, enable us and it will be batter for us all. Cause really right now the game is monopolized. And this will bring the power to the people and force the big guys to make good stuff and not sell use "soundcards"
that are nothing morethen some dlls. and a wrapper.

I don't have the time. I do what I do simply because I can, if it pisses companies off, I don't give 2 shits. They should be making decent products not regurgitating done to death over the hill hardware.

yeah the software dosnt work but the drivers are excellent

just tried the drivers on vista x64

works also on mine ALC888 (MSI P35Neo2FIR) no Creative software.

It's freaking bs, as always "Craptive" Cripples my Audigy in drivers so fook them , i'll use the ALC888. :nutkick:

EDIT. software works (i can run it, but i thing the options don't work) , but i also have Audigy IEEE1394 installed.

ALC888 on my new motherboard plus these drivers are WACK
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu...

these really work good with the ALC888 chip my old board had a different sound chip older but still realtek HD

OP, a few questions for you:

1. Does this enable EAX emulation?
2. Would it be do-able for you to get these working on IDT codecs? These lack any EAX support .(Realtek have partial EAX2 and Analog Devices have full EAX2)

Hello,

props! good work.. maby trying to add support voor vista and this will be perfect.

I've the 889A realtek chip btw.

So, i hear people like you?

Sound driver works just fine in vista. Software doesnt, and never will unless creative does it.

Just wondering if something similar can be done with the ADI® AD2000B found on the ASUS M3A79-T Deluxe. The newer version uses Realtek but this time Asus went with the ADI 8 channel High Def sound with a software called Analog Devices or something. It sounds really clean but I am up for an improvement. I will eventually go discrete but for now on-board will do the job.

Probably, but I don't have any board with a ADI codec so wouldn't be able to test the drivers

Dont the P5Q's have the ADI 2000 chip?

Or is it just the P5Q deluxe? I dont mind helping, there is ony one driver to mod cus they dont get updated! :D

Some P5Qs use realtek like my pro, "upper" P5Q models get the adi codec.

You can use me as your ginnie pig :D
-----------
I've read the ADI 2000 codec software is very similar to the XFi software and produces really nice audio quality. I do prefer Realtek only because I like it's very user friendly userface but I do admit my mobo's audio does sound quite good.

ketxxx you gonna do any updates for the drivers if a new set is out?

can you not force something into the realtek drivers?
