All of the Sierra games where you ended up learning more advanced English, as they were games where you had to type to make things happen. Didn't know the correct word? Well, then you couldn't finish that part. I think a lot of non native speakers learnt a lot of English playing these games.

+1, Now, that I read your observation, I gotta say you are spot on. For me Homeworld is probably my number one game of all time, but it is already remastered. I'd add to the list:

*Kickmaster [NES]
*Super Spy Hunter [NES]
*Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher's Bay [released in 2004, has been 16 years already]
*Beyond good and Evil-> what happened to second part? release date? is the project cancelled?
*Trickstyle
*Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction - yeah I know :)
*Blood Omen 2 - it was my favourite of the series

There's a remaster on Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena. You choose it in the menu.

just a silly question guys...
so remastered is porting the original game to a new engine? i.e new graphics, updated sounds, added new mp feature?
Remake is a complete new game from the ground up but based on the original game i.e alternate gameplay, added characters, added new storyline?
My opinion is exactly that.

Remaster = same game but with modern graphics
Remake = a new game but faithful to the original (like Resident Evils)

Oh, Battletoads would be a GREAT one! With Duck Tales remastered type graphics, I'd preorder immediately!

The only remaster I can think of being worth the effort is Demon's Souls.
Any other old game I'd like to experience again would need to be remade on a new engine, just updating assets won't cut it.

Come to think of it Record of Lodoss War from the Dreamcast would make an excellent ARPG to remaster.

Would like to see Far Cry remaster. The game aged quite badly because this game on newer OS didn't detect newer graphics card feature properly thus render things wrongly.

Old WWII games could get a remaster like Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Brothers in Arms etc.

Motorhead was the first arcade racer I ever played on PC, but can never get it to run on Win 10. Steam has it, but it's the PS1 port which, by all accounts, is not very good.
motorhead.jpg

Project IGI would also be a remaster contender with perhaps the option to have at least one save per level. I've lost count of the hours I've played this game, from 3DFX days to now (runs great on Win 10) but could never finish the last mission to diffuse the bomb.
Antimatter Games are making a prequel, but a remaster of IGI1 would be excellent.

On my wish list it's not only PC games but also some PSX games.

For PC I would like to see these titles:
Car games:
Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit
Need for Speed: High Stakes

FPS WWII
Call of Duty incl. Offensive
Call of Duty 2
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault incl. Spearhead & Breakthrough
Medal of Honor: Airborne
Mirror's Edge

Other games:
Mafia
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
Mini Ninjas (It's just fun  )
The Saboteur

PSX Games:
Gran Turismo
Gran Turismo 2

This is my list of games from my childhood and youth that I spend the most time with.

I favorite PC Games so far is not really old that old it was released in 2016 and it's Mirror's Edge: Catalyst it's game I just love.

Oh man. Yes

Have you seen Satellite Reign? (Not a remaster, obviously.)

Good fun! Worth it from a budget bin somewhere, though I felt it was a tad limited and short at full price. The atmosphere though... nailed it.

Planescape Torment
Dungeon Keeper 2
Settlers 3&4

There is an enhanced edition for Planescape Torment. But yeah, that is more like GOG version of it. Generally though its a good way to replay those games, the only EE's I found lacking where the Neverwinter Nights ones. Virtually the same, clunky mess :)

Heres a good one...

I would like to see this game remastered in one way or another but im not quite sure who owns the rights to it. I think its bungie but the part of bungie that made this game might of gotten shutdown or swallowed up
