Sounds like y'all got a bunch of DayZ 12 year olds with self esteem issues on your server.

This is exactly what it is.

Well I rebuilt my base the other day and added external walls and spikes in hopes to keep people out while I move but alas I was raided when they took out half the base. How are they doing this? Do they have so much C4 that they do not know what to do with it?

I have 8 by myself and haven't played in 2-3 weeks....a group I talked to had 40 a few days ago. It's not hard to craft with 3-4 people, or 20 like those TG people.

This is the very reason DayZ became somewhat arduous and boring for me. Join a server, some guy has DMR, leave server. It's all fun and games doing PVP, but when it gets to the point of 20 men with full kevlar and bolt actions killing a naked man hitting a rock against a pig that drops chicken... it basically ruins the community, and new players never come back because of one bad experience.

Yeah, between those TG dicks and the fact my 4930K was DOA and is out for RMA, I've completely stopped playing. Not sure if I'll be back. By now, my house is probably just a foundation anyway.

I'm considering making a change to the server. adding rules, changing drops, changing all sorts of stuff. If you head over to my forums/forum requests There is a post by Palad1n. Him and I sat up in mumble last night discussing changes to the server that would make the game more fun, more challenging, stop thr base trolling (building pillars and such in other people's bases, etc...)

If you don't mind reading through the post and then either leaving a message there or posting here at TPU your thoughts. As it stands its way too easy to have loads of c4, military weapons and stuff.

Anyways, let me know what you think or if you have any ideas.

After reading his post, I believe thats going alittle too far with restrictions. Might as well play something else if only gathering materials would be part of the game.

I still on the fence about getting the game, but the little grudge matches are what sound fun to me. If I did join I would want to rally a force of TPUers and burn TG's world. Burn it. Force them north. Tell them, and enforce them to stay on the other side of the map. Man power sufficient of course.

I replied...seems like he had been dealt a bad hand and got beat up by some people in game. Kinda just sounds like a bunch of boo hoo to me. Whatever..I'll go play vanilla if a server is gonna change that much honestly.

I don't think the server rules should change, I just think that these TG guys are ruining the fun by KOSing everyone they see. The raiding comes with PvP, and I think it's an integral part of the experience, but you also don't have to be a complete dick about it. As it stands, new players on the server generally don't have enough time to build up before getting killed, and established players don't have enough time to restock their supplies after a raid before being raided again.

Speaking as a third party who follows the thread.. sounds like kicking the TG guys will solve your problems for the most part.

Same here, conflict makes games more fun, but these dudes sound like they have taken over the server and are pissing on everyone's head.

+1 Not played on tpu server but seen similar issues been raised here and for me, like others have said its how quickly powerful weapons can be created, not what weapons can be created. The raiding and general killing seems part of the game but the person raided also needs time to rebuild before it happens again.

That said I would agree that they have been the biggest factor in why many of the players quit. That and the rubber-banding issue lately and maybe people are just bored. who knows?

But I do know that many people hate the TG guys. However they act on the server these guys are just like any of you. I've known most of them for many years now and they are really cool guys but they chose to grief people and KOS.

The best defence against that is to create your own group and build in the same area together. The problem though is I really don't see many TPU players online lately. Brandon is on, Unholy is on but thats about it.

I'd be playing if I had the time, but my personal life hasn't given me any time for gaming since last week when I found out my 4930 was DOA.
Really what I see happening if we can't get a good TPU group together is guys like me making a few small shacks scattered around the map with some supplies in them and being a traveling killer. I'll tell you right now that that's my plan if I keep getting raided and killed back-to-back, everybody will be KoS and my survival will be because of what I can scavenge off of players. It's a dick way to survive, but when in Rome, right?

I mean you either cater to them or cater to everyone else.. imo fuck your player count and kick them so everyone else can actually have fun

If they are been dicks and ruining the server for the larger population, then ban them. The majority is more important than the few.

It's hard to compete with that but on the other side of the coin I have never even bumped into any of them because I'm located on the extreme other side of the map as them. Over here they generally don't travel unless raiding and so far I have not seen them do that over here either.
