Hey guys,

I may have the opportunity to get hold of a ShuttleX PC and was wondering if there was a small Pentium II or III mobo I could get to fit inside the case.

Shuttle use propriety sizes for their mainboards (until recently) and depending if you've got just the chassis, they usually come with a mainboard. Is it just the chassis and if so, what model is it from?

It's a full machine, but uses an AMD socket A mobo with the nForce2 chipset.

It's a ShuttleX SN41G2 V2.

Wouldnt the Socket A be a all round better choice to have in there then a P2 or P3?

This would be a dedicated Win95/98 legacy rig.

Hmm... your best bet eBay in that respects as you're lookin' for such an old board. I honestly can't remember a PII or P3 based Shuttle but I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few out there. In regards other motherboards, I highly doubt they'd fit as the case has mounting holes for official XPC mainboards.

So you want to change the motherboard to Pentium II/III? Any ATX, micro-ATX based slot-1 (pentium II and some pentium III) or socket 370 (pentium III) will fit in it.

Not without modding.
