I am a way to impulsive buyer to give a straight answer  but i am hoping the RTX 3060Ti could be my next upgrade..

For me it will be a PCIe 4.0 board + a future new AMD Ryzen 8/16 or 16/32 after the potential beta bios frenzy :D
Let's say about 800€, maybe less, I can dream.
Intel was really doing good so far but I'm sick of having to patch and lose perf everytime (even if it's small) and having to fight with new BIOS when I want to overclock. Also intel high prices for high temps (delid ? no thanks)...no more.

About the GPU, a 3090 or a 3080Ti (?) after my CPU upgrade.
Let's say between 1000€ & 1500€ (ouch)

I really would like to switch those SSDs & HDDs for bigger SSDs so 2x 4Tb SSDs and a big 12Tb or 16Tb HDDs for saving stuff. My actual m.2 SSD is enough for me for Windows & temp files.
Let's say about 900€

I can live with this 27" 1440p @ 144hz monitor, I don't want a huge 32" screen for now.

For sure I won't make all those changes the same day.

Probably RTX 3080 Ti, but watercooled! Its power consumption is way too much for air cooling.

Asus RTX 3080, waiting for the STRIX OC review, I'll take that or the TUF OC.

3080 or 3070 i havnt made up my mind yet id like to see some 3070 reviews first and see some water blocks aswell.

I'm literally planning on placing an order today for computer upgrade parts. Going to be a very exciting one too because I rarely do major upgrades like this.
My trusty Core i5 4670K, Asus Z97-E and 16GB 2133MHz Corsair Vengeance will be retired from full-time duties in favor of a Ryzen 3100, Asus B550-F and 32GB 3600MHz GSkill Ripjaws.
If the Ryzen 3100 seems like an odd choice, that's because it's a stop-gap until the Zen 3 5700X is available. The 3100 is still a great CPU though and I'll probably re-use it in a family member's office machine upgrade.
From i5 4670k to ryzen 3100??? Why not just wait for the 5700x and reuse the i5-4670k? It's your choice, I'm just curious.

I decided to jump in and upgrade early while the AM4 motherboard and RAM prices/availability are still good. Just to be on the safe side and avoid the Zen 3 purchasing rush. The 4670K could've easily gone until next year or longer, but I tried the Ryzen 3100 on someone else's system and it was performing great. Plus I'll likely onsell the 3100 when I get the 5700X and won't lose much money on it anyway. It's a bit of an odd upgrade strategy but it works.

R3 3300X & B450 or B550 mATX board (I have a Define Mini C already), then an used 1080 Ti with a waterblock.

Well I have gotten lately a bit of coil whine on my 2060 Super so surely that has to be a good excuse to get a 3070 once they become readily available, unless of course something else comes to light with AMD's new offerings, don't really need a 3070 for 1440p but it's tempting.

My vote this is still in favor of ASUS Dual 1660 Super mini OC, as the powerful and less power hungry design up to date.
The pricing slowly but with stable steps it gets lower and lower its week.
I am willing waiting another four months in favor of pricing reasoning of the market it self down to 200 EUR.

Please stick to one thread per topic.

As shown in an earlier post, we already have a large thread covering this sort of thing.
