Previous post was misinformed. Sony now confirms that personal information (credit cards to D.O.B.) was hacked.

If you were on the PSN network and had to give them this data you're royally screwed. I'm sure the lawsuits will cost Sony quite dearly.

people who don't own a PS3 are suckers. Microsoft was in a similar position a couple years ago when XBOX Live was down for 13 days. in a couple months nobody will care.

yea but the reasons why its down are different and its the reason that matters this time not the time its down, I don't even care about PSN being down anymore(as im sure many people don't also), I care more about having my information not in the hands of some retarded hacker out to get money with it

Sony sadly is blaming Anonymous, and that gets on my nerves also, because either they're lying(which they probably are) or anonymous did do it
which one infuriates me more I don't know.

What security implementations has Microsoft integrated into their network for Xbox Live that makes it more secure?, and imo, if a hacker wants to get into any network badly enough, they eventually will.

I personally won't be going over to Xbox Live even if it is more secure mainly cause i don't want to pay and the games for 360 are lacking imo.

as i've said before , xbox live is a horrible service
that charges you for stuff that should be included.
on top of that they make you see ads every boot.

psn plus gives you big deals on games, and a bunch
for free. not huge titles, but fun indie games for sure

i cancelled live and will NEVER go back

Id rather pay for Live because then you dont get something like this going on. Also, they ban modded Xbox's and you can no longer sign onto the internet with that screen name or xbox again. Something Sony doesnt do. So then you get all these panzy ass pussies that are hacking online and that doesnt make the game fun for anyone.

i dont wanna hold my breath, but i hope sony fixes the issue so that when playing Granturismo 5, we dont get booted from rooms randomly like before. at times it was so bad that i'd get black screens and would have to reboot the console to continue playing.

yeah, I recently started playing Grand Turismo 5 (which is EPIC btw.. wow.. even on a standard definition shitty bubble screen TV, the photo mode... the car detail.. wow.. lol speechless.) but I can imagine that it's more fun with online.

Just before the PSN went down I was going to buy some PSN classics, and now I'm not sure if I trust them with my CC. Might go with a prepaid card for a bit.

Yeah, I actually took in Little Big Planet and Ridge Racer 7, which I didn't really care for, but I do miss LBP (I traded both of those titles for Red Dead Redemption) but now I get it back.. and then I also get inFamous, which I've been telling my girlfriend about for a week or so now. I've heard it's a great game. This is so perfect.

To be honest, I can go a month without a free service for two free full sized games.
