Important Update!

We have decided that we will allow a small number of revisions to existing designs of the original three submissions... the final revision will count as your entree not the previous one.

For example you spelled TPU wrong and posting a revision as an update to post number xxx will become one of your three submissions...

you must post that it is a revision and the post number of the previous entry.

I wouldn't use Photoshop for this.
PS is an image manipulation app - it's not particularly ...flexible... for image creation.
Vector graphics for the win.
:P

i just wanna know can i draw it on papaer clearly and upload it or send it just once... cuz i cant use softwares to creat a pieceof art

Smooth.

But whatever, you keep on twidling with pixels.
:D

Pixels can be smooth and you should know vector and rasterization should work hand in hand. They both have their advantage.

Something more free.
Inkscape.

Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are designed to work together. I have no idea why anyone would say Vector pwns rasterization or vise versa. Especially in this case.

@stormseeker

You're making it sound like I'm not allowed to upload a password protected zip file along with a PNG JPG.

@urlyin

Thank you for the reiteration of rules. It did help answer my earlier question. :)

the theme is open?¡ any concept?¡ im working yet...

photoshop has a lot of vector features, you can easily embed vector art into smart objects etc.

if someone can make a great design in paint - be my guest

OMG Staff and Moderators CAN participate! Yay!!!!

Normally for a HIS card you'd just need to worry about the HIS logo... but since we also have tpu and AMD judges I'm guessing the people with the best shot are the ones that cram them all on there? Going to be tricky to mesh those together.

I disagree Lan ... it may be more enticing but the over all theme and layout can also be in play .. remember it is design your OWN HD4890 sticker..

the way im gonna do mine is use maya to make a scene and take the pic in that scene with the highest poly model my sli gtx's will handle without crashing

but im just looking at his's designs right now to start

Used for the first time, adobe photshop... And im so noob ! :shadedshu:ohwell:

But I think there should a lot of experience to make real works of art.

Not much to hope for people like me :cry::cry:

Make physical art and scan/photo it into photoshop. Art is a hard thing to judge, and in it's purest form is something very personal. Just give it what you got. :toast:

Stop right there guys and read the rules please

Only registered members of TPU are eligible.

It maybe possible for anyone to win ... we're not looking for perfection and quality but more so in the theme and how you lay it out ... a simple design could win just as easy as one created by a graphic designer.. keep in mind there are three prize to win

I read the rules...but there is a magical last line that says you can change them at any time. I am not trying to say anything other that what I think is fair. I have a question. Is this contest supposed to attract people to TPU? If so I will shut my trap and enter my best shot.

On the other hand if this contest is for the existing members of TPU I think there should be at least something like a minimum post count before the beginning of the contest or, possibly if you joined after the contest was announced you are not eligible? I don't know maybe I'm crazy but I have talked to a few people about this and they agree with me. To me, it seems kinda weird that this part of the rules are so lose. Thanks for reading at least. I hope you don't take this post as me being snobbish.

Does this mean that i can add background to the logo? Something like lets say a red background shaped the same as the HIS logo letters?

EDIT: I myself am not afraid of "the designers" (since i suck anyway :D) but i have to agree with SkyKast... there should be "must be registered before contest start date" rule in my opinion. But hey who am i, lol :D

Urlyin in the first post: you keep saying Entree. Thats like... a dish you get at a restaurant. I think you mean Entry.
