you can only use the provided images...the x-fire logo isnt one of them...

Although some may think that CrossfireX logo looks drop-dead sexy on the card, it would be changed in printed version, because picture provided in the beginning of the first post in main thread has very low resolution - it would suck when printed (72dpi). Except somebody found vector or HQ drawings of CFX logo, which I highly doubt :D

So as SkyKast said, only logos listed in the thread as "approved" can be used.

That's no problem for my sudmisions because all my 3 designs doesn't contain the Cross Fire X logo... only the last one but that isn't submited.... :toast:

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for new members, but they will most likely just sod off if they win. I've seen it happen before on the N-Gage forum when Nokia was giving away 30 Nseries phones at the end of 2007 and again when they were giving away 4 phones in September, about 15 of the winners just fucked off and probably sold them on the eBay, there was a lot of multiple accounts too. You see a surge of new members trying desperately to get something then disappear after the competition.

I'm register for this contest, and I'm sure you have right to say it, DaveK.
But that not mean I will disappear after the contest either. I decide to comeback sometimes cause I'm a TPU's reader for years, even reading this forums as a guest, but can't be the same for everyone else. Joining for the prizes only is not something anyone can proud of.

DMXOnline should be banned for his behavior.... For everyone it's the same rule... 3 submisions only
 
Hey guys,

I used ruby for my current designs im wondering weather its legible or not? Because I did not see any copyright on the image the rest of the design was made by me though I just needed a free CG to fill up a space.

no, but you are not allowed to misrepresent the product by giving it the name of another graphics card or a competing product

What are you guys going to just pick on one guy for making a mistake. More than half of the submissions are using Copyright protected images. I would like to see half of the people who have posted submissions supply the actual file or files they used to make the photo. There copy paste tactic takes away from the one who actually take the time to make there own design.

Don't forget the use of ***FREE IMAGES*** is still available. So the copy and paste tactic is still there for anyone. And not everyone spammed and posted more than 7 - 9 entries and 2 of the same posts, it obviously shows that he didn't read the rules "at all" the copyright images were just icing on the cake.

I retracted my posts, I thought this contest was gonna be fun :/ guess not. Too many people crying. There's also a crap load of spam, which looks just like one guy shooting a machine gun of templates with different accounts.

I agree but I am going to keep mine up for the contest . it has been fun but the free image thing is total BS. I know a lot of the images posted are from Deviant Art and are not to be used without permission. I would just like to see some effort in there worj showing that they actually did something with it.

Quick question, is that dimensions pdf document actual size? Because I'd like to print it out and draw some templates.

Since I'm a new guy here, I hope I don't break any rule.
I'm a overclocker from Vietnam (DI and LN2 things :D), I've posting my entries for contest, nice to meet you all. Thanks MRCL again for your encourage. You will see me often in Overclocking & Cooling forum :)

Can't change any of the logos. You can sorta fake it by adding effects behind it, but anything on top is gonna alter it. Guess that means no masking over the logos either.
 
I see that the contest has been extended to the 31st of May, and now a 5 entry limit. Just thought i would let u all know
