Unlock the shaders - AMD Radeon RX 560D

a second gpu or a igp if the flash fails to unbrick the card

a second gpu or a igp if the flash fails to unbrick the card
got a mobo with an intel igp that supports igpu multi monitor function, so I should be fine. going to try whenever I get time for that and report here. thanks a lot

Probably your card is laser-disabled physically in GPU, so there's no way to just flash-enable the rest of the shaders. But you can try unlocked variant of your stock BIOS:
I tried the rom you provided but after the flash the GPU did not provide video output
luckily I had an old GPU and I was able to reflash the stock ROM, probably my card is laser-disabled as you said
Thanks for the help anyway :)

I would have to see the BIOS, whether the pattern is in it. From what I see in 2GB BIOS it's not.

Couldn't find a bios matching all specifications so I'm giving up. I'm happy with the extra shaders.
Thanks everyone that helped.

Hey there!
Here's the unlocked BIOS, I hope successfully.
In post #328 (right above this post)
Frostalot provided his Stock Bios.
on line 00000020 and 0000E320 you made two edits.
00000020 was C5 but modded to C6
0000E320 was 70 but modded to 6F

i have this same exact card and my stock bios is exactly the same as the stock bios provided in post #328 as i ran a comparison.
all the info i have read so far only says to edit 70 to 6F so why is line 00000020 modded from C5 to C6?
thanks

Hey there!
6F unlocks the shaders (if not fused off in hardware) and C5 to C6 changes the checksum of the BIOS file, so atiflash doesn't complain about it being wrong.
Change the two values and then open the BIOS up in PolarisBIOSeditor (1.7.5) to see if it complains about checksum. If it passes, you can try and flash it, if you want to try to unlock your card.
You're welcome.

Check your other thread, I found files

Yes, you will need it.

Rename it to:
atikmdag-patcher-bios.exe

All you need.

Btw: Asus ROG 560 is now running since nearly 5 years flawless with this Bios update. :-)

Best regards,
mnasty

Thank you, do i need atikmdag patcher?
You know, I really don't know if you need it. Perhaps first try without it, just with this unlocked BIOS (2 bytes changed, checksum and shaders) and you'll see if the card behaves properly.

Yes, of course, here it is (I hope the hardware is not disabled).
By the way - interesting - your card is using the RX 470/480/570/580 GPU chip, yet still contains the same string in BIOS. Please, post GPU-Z screenshot if it works, I'm curious how much it will unlock...

Thank you so much for reply! But unfortunately, nothing changed(
Still shows 1792 shader units
Can't find any suitable firmware from higher models or any info about unlocking for this one
If anyone has information please let us know

Well I guess the chip is hardware-disabled to 1792 shaders. Just as many as the old HD 7950 had. :)
You can be happy you've almost got performance of the RX 570, certainly much better than the original RX 560.

Hello, can you unlock 1024 shaders, it is currently at 896.

Graphics card: Sonnet RX 560 Breakaway Puck (HIS RX 560 14CU GREEN iCooler OC 4GB)

Hello,

My card is a Asus Phoenix rx550 4gb with Samsung memory chips.
Can anyone here help me unlock it for 768 full shaders? :)

I have attached my stock BIOS + GPUZ screenshot
I would be very happy if someone unlocks the BIOS.

Thank you very much in advance and I hope it will work
