Looks like the Vega RX IS after all a match for 1080ti - on blind testing at least. Without getting into a fight over fps numbers - perceived smoothness (which FPS can never describe adequately enough without reference to latency) is a better gauge than pure empirical data*
* My old crossfired 7970's were blazingly fast on fps but somehow it felt choppy.... FPS versus smoothness right there. Except, reviews can't empirically score 'smooth' so it's going to be a possibly contentious fight.
Looks like RTG may have actually pulled a rabbit out of the hat after all. Which might explain that Swedish price that has been floating about.

EDIT: if you don't read the source you'll miss both systems used either Freesync or G-Sync, so thats a source of 'smoothing'. Without those panels, nobody knows....
