Wow, surprised that more people aren't running 3770k's.

Anyway, my two additions - 3770k & 1090T.

Core i7 2600k here

Also have a netbook with a 1st gen Atom CPU, a laptop with an i3 sandy bridge mobile CPU, and even an old desktop with a pentium 4 560j CPU

:)

Added an i5 2500k, i5 3210m, i7 960, i7 990x, intel core 2 Quad QX6700 :D :D

Voted other for i7 Gulftown. I love my 6 core! :rockout:

I will be, if I can get down to Microcenter in Boston this weekend :)

Nice. I haven't updated my system specs yet, my "new" rig runs a 3770k with dual 480's :D

Intel Core i7 920 in the main rig. Dual P3 Xeons on an Asus XG-DLS in my retro rig. Running dual Opteron 2419s in a folding rig/file server. Got a couple Opteron 250s on an MSI K8T Master2-FAR I'm using in another build, and finally an E6600 running on a mini-ATX Asus board in a general use desktop rig for my dad.

That's in Nehalem. You're a Nehalem i7 Extreme. ;)

Actually, no, it's based on Westmere. Nehalem parts are 45nm, Gulftown and Westmere are 32nm. The differences between Nehalem and Westmere are basically like the differences between Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge.

So if SB and IB are represented separately when the primary difference is a die shrink, where's Gultown (or Westmere)?

Voted other for i7 Gulftown. I love my 6 core! :rockout:

That's what I ended up doing.

Glad I could select multiples :D

Anyway, my two additions - 3770k & 1090T.

Waiting for LGA 1150 and Intel to hopefully begin soldering the IHS to the die again so I don't have a chip that runs at 9000c after a while and has to be de-lidded. I'm still happy with my 2600K though I would love the 22nm power savings. :)

Intel Sandy Bridge Core i7 2700K here and proud of it.... X5????

;) Even take on the newer guy on the street ;)

That's what I got!

added mine - AMD 1055T X6 - Last good AMD processors IMO.

Hmm. I was thinking I would be the lone dinosaur still running on my C2D. Seems not!

SB 2600K still rocking 5Ghz'ish AND with the OLD skt775 Ninja Plus RevB HS

Really surprised the Sandy Bridge Core i5K isn't leading the modern dedicated quad Intel CPUs given there are well over 2000 reviews on them at Newegg averaging 5 eggs.

The fact that the Core 2 Duo IS leading is indicative of the sad fact that so few PC games are quad threaded.

and that so many pc games are console ports that work flawlessely on old hardware.

remember when the "can my pc run this game" threads could actually get a response of "no"?

seems like forever ago.

am i the only guy with a celeron sandy?

just got my g540 for my end of the year good enough gamer, gonna play (campain only) crysis 2, metro 2033, MOH Warfighter and black ops 2, maybe most wanted if i feel like it, aiming for a 7750, will be gaming on a 720p 32" so i dont need that much horsepower, guys like me are glad that game developers are thinking about us...

Was bored made a chart of TPU over the years. :)

ct.png

1055t and PDC in the other half's rig. No option for PDC above :p

i think he just compiled the results from all three threads and since more people voted in the first, less in the second and the third is still on page 2...

Does this mean that over the years, less people have had a CPU? (I mean, without a CPU your computer won't work...)

Those other polls have more answers in them too. ;)

I voted Intel Core for my Pentium M in my IBM laptop and of course my Phenom II.

Microcenter has some 1045Ts for $90, I'm hoping to grab one soon.

Fair number of us still using Phenom IIs (Deneb/Thuban).
