What CPU cooler?

Looking for a good cpu cooler for my new i5 2500k. Looked on newegg and i cant really find anything good or of socket 1155. The two aftermarket coolers I have for 775 wont fit and im not really content with a stock CPU cooler. I do plan on overclocking as high as i can get the chip.

Thoughts and suggestions welcome!

Yes.

Budget: 212+ A bit loud, but works very well
Mid Ranged: Swiftech Polaris, Zalman CNPS10X (Can't remember which variety tho), Corsair A70
Expensive: Noctua stuff, Thermaltake Frio, Corsair H series.

If you want to max out the OC, pick something powerful like Noctua NH-D14, Corsair H80/H100 (very expensive, but performs), Thermalright Silver Arrow. You can also pick something which is cheaper, but there is a noise tradeoff.

I saw this (Thermaltake Bigwater A80) the other day on my local shop. It sells for $2500NT which is about $75US.

I haven't seen any reviews yet but it seems like a good deal.

I dont really have the patience for water cooling. I just dont want to drain it to clean it up and wait to check for leaks, etc. Just not my thing. I would, however go with the corsair water coolers or something if they actually performed well enough since I woudlnt have to clean those.

So aside from that, it will probably end up being an air cooler. Ill check all the links that were already posted.

Water isn't necessary for SB, though I'll take something like a Corsair H70 over an air cooler just for space and tidyness reasons.

Ive debated getting one of those in the past. But ive heard that it really offers nothing over an air cooler.

Not much, but if you are shooting for high clocks and low noise it becomes viable.

It offers better load temps than most air coolers and it saves space, you don't have to worry about memory getting in the way of the heatsink. I'll most likely never use a standard air cooler again.

That's why I bought my H50. It's out of the way and I can use whatever ram I want.

Antec Kuhler H2O 620? I wouldn't go for a traditional air cooler over an AIO water solution just because of the advantages they offer.

All of the hydro coolers I tested are loud! There isnt one that I would say is "quiet" or "silent" once the fans are running full speed. This is a main reason most people opt to swap out the fans (of course performance plays into it as well).
