Returned the Air VaporMax Plus shoes, too tight and uncomfortable, also they didn't have larger size anymore.....

I called with nike about the return of the shoes, got a 20% Off code and ordered these:

Nike Invincible 3 ZoomX technology :D

View attachment 282877

Walking on these should be like:

View attachment 282879

these are the ones I was talking about, the Olympics banned the Zoomx technology. NICE CHOICE!!!! I been wanting a pair myself, my help my shins and knees since the impact is better returned with Zoomx tech.

Coughed up for this, AM4 ITX boards went WAY up in price, at least this is an upgrade instead of ~$250 for a downgrade from the B450 i had
All the other sellers have this board for $450Au and up, unsure why this ones "10% off" but also tons lower overall. Maybe old stock at old price.

Biggest features: VRM's that handle any AM4 out there, period.
Allllll the 10Gb ports (Okay, two of em. But the last board had 0.)
2.5Gbe, Wifi AX
2x NVME that dont steal lanes from the GPU like the B450 did

1676009531068.png

I could run my 5800x3D and 3090 off this, heck i could even put this in my bigass ATX case and not actually miss any features of the larger board.

the shift has a great idea behind it, but it also feels like it's designed for their cases only - as an obvious example the fan can only face one way, or your cables are on the wrong side of the case

Sounds like a marketing ploy anyways. Nice bequiet psu btw, should serve you well.
already loving it. seems to pull a bit less current from the wall. it is quiet and the size is also really nice. the shift has a nice idea with the connectors on the side but maybe the next iterations will be a more compelling option. I don't think the price is right at the moment.

A Cyberpower CL1000EVR automatic voltage regulator, because there is an ironing board on the other side of the wall from my PC, and having that on causes artifacts and intermittent black screens (which goes back on after a while).

Let's just say, the next one on my list is a new motherboard, because my blackscreen crash & restart issues (peep my profile) seems to be motherboard related now, especially on the sole GPU slot, I pretty much ruled out CPU, GPU and even PSU. (That's a lot of U's)

A bit expensive but it's a solid board once you get to know its quirks. Actually very solid, because of the backplate the only AM4 ITX board tougher than it is the Impact which I also have. You can leave the stupid decorative slab off the M.2 and expose the real heatsink for a bit of extra cooling if you like.

It's handled all my APU fun over the years on 4650G/5600G/5700G. I am on my second one now but still rev1.0, be curious to see if you get a rev.1.1.

less than half the cost of phanteks t30. going to put one as rear exhaust, and 2 on my thermaltake cpu heatsink. cpu goes brrr. @freeagent do you think 2 of these will fit on the FC140?

View attachment 283312

FC140 will fit 30mm fans in both positions, but... the problem you will face is not the thickness alone but the fact it's a 140x30 fan.

120x25 and "round" 140x25 fans will fit easily.

Square 140x25 (A14) and 120x30 (T30) will take a bit of effort and stretching the clips.

I'm not sure if 140x30 will be possible, but with enough force it may work.

got a 50chf trade in for my Amazfit T-Rex for the T-Rex 2 so, i will pay just 50chf more for it instead of 100chf more (169chf vs 119chf) i skipped the T-Rex Pro because i had a feeling the T-Rex 2 would be available at my e-tailer (still took it's sweet time, it was released in may 2022  )

should arrive thuesday, but stock pic for now :)

wanted it in black gold but they only had it in black grey and desert Khaki ... black without gold is just plain, my actual T-Rex is green black, so, desert khaki it is!

i swear Amazfit do some quite Amaz[fit]ing rugged smartwatch ... the T-Rex was one of the best smatwatch i ever bought and i have no issues in believing the version 2 will be perfect fo me too

Feels good to have some new fans!
Got some interesting models to experiment with. I'll see how the increased airflow will affect case temps and acoustics. I'm not having temperature issues, but my current GPU does heat up the case considerably when running full tilt. BTW, I've only got a single 140mm intake and one 120mm exhaust fan installed:

I ordered an Asrock B450M Steel Legend today. Hope this will finally solve my never ending blackscreen crash & restart woes for real.

Returned the 2TB for the 4TB since it is now back in stock in store for $310.

WD webshop had them in stock too, but after placing an order on the 6th WD just sat around and didn't do anything for a week. Email says "most orders shipped next business day". So fuck 'em.

I received this about a week ago but wanted to make sure the return of the 4080 went as planned.

All is well: Newegg accepted the return with no restocking fees and even paid the return shipping. Way above and beyond in my book.

WD has a single email due contact form about customer support, and there is no change talking with anyone else within their castle.
I have build enough trust so to get two HDD WD Gold 1TB for my RAID, but I do not feel any more admiration for the brand.
They become non-humans and faceless.

No more single channel DDR3 at my ASUS Laptop Win7 Home 64 bit.
Denmark got the cash.
I was sniping about getting a second DDR3 Hynix HMT351S6BFR8C-H9, 100% identical with the one onboard.

Dual channel RAM and an SSD is all any laptop needs for solid non-gaming performance, it's such an under-rated thing that people miss out on due to laptops often shipping with just the one DIMM

Playing with the T30s, on the FC140 this time......because no one has yet brought to market an interesting 140mm yet

Good:
  • 2 x T30s @ 1350rpm are quieter than a single A14 @ 1100rpm
  • Looks better than Noctua Chromax and iPPC
Not so good:
  • 1-2 degrees behind A12x25 + A14
  • Beware injurious fan clips

Overall it looks great. So how's the sound signature on idle? I had many issues with a whine when I placed a fan on the back panel.

It's a pity Phanteks made the switch on the back rather than on the side.

Also in some laptops having 2 ranks on memory sticks give more performance. But not as much as dual channel gives.

Damn near soundless at 1300rpm. Have to draw my ear very close to hear a bit of motor noise. Around 1300-1500 they are not loud but there is a bit of a slow resonance. Above 1500 they go back to being pleasant and still quite reasonable.

However, they are definitely not so great if mounted to heatsink/rad while the corner pads are removed.

The switch location is okay for me - my third T30 is mounted to the drop-in 240 top for top exhaust, so the switch is both readily available and employed. For heatsink use just set to 2000rpm and control with PWM :) daisy chaining is great for push/pull
