Which cooler to buy for cpu

Hi, I bought intel i5 8600k , and I need a cooler. I have case "NZXT S340 Mid Tower" Which is the best cooler under 60$ for that cpu? It is important to be quiet , I an not planning to clock cpu. Thanks.
 
Why buying a new cooler when u r not overclocking?
 
We recommend the Scythe Mugen Max or Fuma, they cool the CPU as good or better than the $90 market leaders (Nactua NH-D15 / Cryorig R1 / Phanteks PH-TC14PE)

The Hyper 212 is a popular cooler ... but the above have like a 10C advantage so i just dont see the point to save the $15. Also, we have done 3 system rebuilds where someone installed a 3rd party cooler and over tightened it and broken the MoBo. I don't know where the blame lies, but all coolers were Hyper 212s. A good cooler should have "stops" to prevent this.

If you just want something that gets the job done without causing problems / no interference around the socket then grab a CRYORIG M9i performance on par with the older Hyper 212 series coolers and generally offers better versatility such as 100% memory compatibility so no issues with clearance. Install is simple and easy. For a stock clocked CPU it will be just fine. If you plan to overclock something a bit beefier would be recommended. However even minor overclocks are okay. The M9i can handle a light overclock as long as you manually configure the voltages as Intel pushes them far higher than they need to be.

Next option up if you need something a bit beefier and your using standard height memory would be the Scythe Fuma. Since your case is limited to coolers that are 161 mm tall or shorter.

Another option would be something like the CRYORIG C1 which is a down draft style cooler. Long as memory is shorter than 42 mm your good to go here and it has the added benefit of cooling the CPU / VRM / Memory as well. There are honestly a lot of different coolers that are great. But it depends more on what your actual needs and or plans are.

The H5 Unviersal is another solid option as well. But then again with a solid warranty/ build quality and mounting hardware all similar to Noctua without the price and ugly fans and well I do recommend them.

The Scythe FUMA is a good option as well but depending on the memory used it can be problematic. That said pretty much any cooler out there besides a select few will do a good job.

Second the Scythe Mugen MAX. Cant beat it for the money. I use it for some overclocking headroom but its also pretty quiet thanks to its fan, wide spaced fins, and good thermal performance.

Thank you. I was planed "Cooler Master Hyper 412S" , but I will consider options mentoed here.
 
I assume you not in US ... the 412S is $144 on newegg :( ... only €31.58 in germany
 
Forgive me, but I'm always tickled when I read that someone has an unlocked K series CPU, an aftermarket cooler, and no desire to overclock at all. I picture them as so green that they imagine overclocking as this complicated and dangerous thing, best left to professionals with years of experience. They might not think like that at all, but that's the impression that always comes to my mind. Maybe they don't realize that overclocks can be anywhere from very mild to extreme, and that most folks pick the sensible ground somewhere in the middle, where there's no danger of any damage, no exotic cooling needed, and not even much extra power required.
 
I was thinking that in this point if I can handle whith this stock speed I do not need to overclock, but after some time I want to have a option to be able for some greather speed , so this is my ticket for some other days. Because I cannot offer upgrades so often. And yes I am still not in that "Word of overclocking", but I want to have a "weapon" when I need.
 
maybe look into a cheaper AIO if you can find a decent one. H55, or other type.
 
@27MaD Ok :). Just one more question please, can someone tell me is it good "Thermaltake Ring Silent 12" . I am now afraid of Cooler Masters , they are mobo killers.
 
if you are not overclocking, a Hyper 212 should be sufficient.
 
Bro , since u r keeping your CPU at stock clock , just buy the cheapest tower cooler from any known companies like : Cooler master , Thermaltake , EVGA , bequiet , NZXT , Noctua etc .
