Got curious about who has TPU`s oldest pc still used as a every day pc. So not your old dusty but still working Pentium 2 machine down the basement, but your main pc. The pc you still use for every day like youtube, browsing, gaming and so on. With oldest pc i mostly thinking ground platform mean such as motherboard/cpu cause other hardware is more given to be replaced one or more time over the years. Just take me while i am still on X58 i am on my fifth GPU model.

I cant beat it my self cause even throw X58 this year can claim its 10 year birthday, have seen plenty of people still rocking core 2 duo/quad with is older than X58. So who can brag about having the oldest pc still in use?
if possible you are welcome to share some pictures/screenshots of your old machine.

Here is some screens of my own old junk.

Hmm, I have an old Acer eMachines E520 laptop, upgraded to a C2D T8300 and 4 GB of DDR2, use it for correcting exams in college. The oldest I know overall that is being used is my cousins' PC, Pentium IV 2.4GHz, 768 MB RAM and an Nvidia FX5200. And that is really being used, daily.

Probably the oldest one that I still use a lot, although not a daily driver, is an ole S939 AMD sporting a 4800+ CPU. The motherboard is an Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe.

8 years old netbook? You can type on it, it's plenty fast for that. Cursor blinking is animated without frame loss.

I've seen someone on TPU with an Athlon possibly 2800/3000 (socket a, non x64) with 1GB RAM in his system specs unfortunately I can't think of his name. I'm currently in the process of building a win98 box and have an Athlon 1200, 256MB SD RAM and a geforce 2 mx400, though it likely won't even be connected to the internet and will be used for gaming only, still to buy a suitable ATX case and a KVM

My server, a socket 775 with an X3370 Xeon and an Asus P5BV-C/4L motherboard has been run continuously since January 2010. It is primarily my media server, although it also performs File Server and backup file storage duties. It still streams media flawlessly. Not the oldest, to be sure, but illustrates that even old hardware can remain relevant.

I will try and get a pic of interior and CPU-Z screenshot later this evening or tomorrow morning.

Looks like stinger608 take the crown so far. Using a CPU from 2005 what i can se. A 13 year old CPU still in use as a main rig not to bad. Keep rocking it til it dies. Yes have seen about Athlon 2800/3000
but user needs to claim it self.

Lovely to se others keep reusing old hardware in sted of just get to the junkyard with it. Keep rocking these oldies, they maybe old but they will not let you down. X58 has never let me down.

Ah heck, didn't even think about it until reading @cadaveca post, hell, I still have an ole Gateway P7811FX that I purchased in 09. I use it quite often, and in fact, just updated it to Windows 10 on Wednesday evening.
It's maxed out with 8 gigs of ram, Samsung 850 EVO 256 gig SSD, and sporting a Core2Duo T9600.

Still very much a daily driver. It is in almost total pristine condition and I still have all the software, booklets, and retail packaging that came with that in 09. :peace:

Hmm, it's been rock solid.
Back in the day when that gen was current, I was on another forum and was a moderator there. There was a sticky with over 200 pages mostly of which were people complaining of the motherboard dying and/or being DOA and we heard about Asus terrible customer support.

Still have my Abit NF7-S rev 2 setup that I use once in a while for games like Revolt and such.. Sometimes trying to get older games to work on newer OS's like XP or Windows 7 for XP games and the like and so on, can be a pain so I just stuck with older hardware and older OS.. Don't use it as much as I'd like to but it's still working along very well :)

That said still have my 939 DFI LanParty board and another on the way when I tease it away from @blindfitter and his fingers lol Probably at the same time when I grab his X79 Black edition and his 780 Ti Kingpin cards... I'm sure that I'll be ending up with more PC hardware than house at some point!!

Very much wish I still had my first PC as that would definitely bring back some memories.. Just like a K6 2 400Mhz I had.. Ah good times :)

Yea, I think we are all just "bragging" about the ole systems we still have.............Jeez, I haven't even began listing some of the old hardware.

I still have a super socket 7 running a K62-350 that I haven't had booted up for over 10 years. Purchased it brand new when they first came out.
