My god - learn the game mechanics

Shooting HE at tracks and spaced armor never yielded great results. Furthermore the 263 has 80mm side armor, factor in +/- 25% random BS generator and a few degrees deviation from 90° impact angle and you know why you didnt penetrate.

And comparing the 263 with the WTF100 (20/10/8 mm) when it comes to HE is plain stupid.

my gw tiger
direct hit at the side
not in the track or splash
so if you follow their own formula
and take in account that i hadnt penned and he had supperheavy tank spanner (which he shouldnt have) so spallcoefficient is 1.5 i should`ve made ~800 dmg (and kill him since after my hit he left with less then 200) but not ~400.
my non pen hits on e-100 or maus sides do more dmg then i did on 263 in this case. even splash hits infront of my wt (armor is 150mm and i do have supperheavy tank spanner installed) >500 as min.

and where exactly did you saw few degrees from 90?
i doubt after 20k+ battles (30k+ if open beta battles are taken into account) i've somehow missed to learn basics of game mechanics.

and?
"HE and HEAT mechanics in next video". try find penetration part 2.
and dont forget to read community opinion about missing part 2.
i can give you so much examples of their game contradicting those "explain game mechanics" vids that pages of this thread would be doubled.
take all those formulas from vid and calculate me bounce hit from jt's 12.8/l71 gun, ap shell to is' turet back from ~100m. hit angle was no more then 20deg. if you manage i will buy you a pinte

Actually, I like killing Russian tanks . Glaring soft spots and poor accuracy makes life easy. Hulldown Americans and sidescraping Germans are nightmares on the other hand.

hah
dont get me wrong. i like killing em too. but i dont like their op stats compared to other vehicles.
rl is3 dimensions are as big as rl tiger 2 with is3 ~20cm lower. in game model of is3 is about 25% smaller then tiger 2. why?
install weak spot skins and have a look to size of weak spots of russian and other vehicles. russians have smallest sized weak spots (with small exceptions) german has biggest (again with small exceptions) the rest are spread in between

^^^ I hear what you are saying and I pretty much feel the same some at least some of the time but the stats show that despite that they do not rate that highly at tier 10, , at tier 9 and 8 they do well ST-1 is first and at tier 8 they dominate but not with the IS3, the IS6 and KV are at the top BUT at tier 10 the best they can do is 5th with the IS4, I appreciate that stats don't always give the truest of pictures but across all servers it is a reasonable indication.

@ne6togadno

pls provide the replay - that aside I get as low as ~337,5 damage using a min damage roll (1500) and using 250mm of armor (see the red area in the middle). Though that would have to be tested in a training room, if it is really 250mm, an autobounce or whatever. WG and their models - lets say they arnt always very accurate.
Didnt calculate with a track hit and spaced armor ... just to lazy.

Global or server avg performance figures for a given tank are pretty useless, when it comes to judging the true potential of a tank. To many noobs and newbies messing up the numbers. Best example is the IS4 u mention there - according to the ranking you are "quoting" its ranked infront the IS7 . That only shows you that noobs survive longer in tanks with good all around armor. Same goes for the Maus, worst t10 Hvy, but noobs do relative well in it.

P.S.: If you r wondering, I m of the guys behind the WN rating. We get to see the raw data collected by vbaddict from replays. These replays include the numbers for all 30 players in a given battle.

i cant.
i dont save replays and i dont want to. it is enough pain to watching retards while i play. i cant withstand to watch to those matches agin. :(
hit was in side armor not in frontal. you should calculate it with 80mm (rl prototype was with 70mm sides btw).
map was murovanka. i was at b9-c9 in bushes and he was at d5. he was with back sided to me (he was shooting in direction of their start (left overs of our wood team has reached that far by then) my hit came at angle above 40deg so i am fine with non pen but damage from explosion was lower then it should be.
why you calculate nominaldmg as 1500. nominal damage of gwt is 2k. 1500&2500 are min and max values of dmg tolerance.

I don't disagree with you, but I was not talking about the "true potential of a tank" since every tank has good, average and bad players controlling them it is relative as obviously the same applies to every tank. If you took the best 1000 players across each of the servers, put them all in the current worst performing Heavy Tank it would not make that tank the best performing tank, I am sure the IS7 had loads of "Noobs" as you call them driving them too.

Nope - the "noob quota" per tank (line) differs quite a bit. On EU server you have the Tiger and E100 as typical noob/newbie magnet. On RU its the IS -line (IS7) of tanks, at least in the past.

If you combine that with WGs totally retarded balancing and super testing philosophy targeted at 48% WR, ~900WN8, 15K games you ll get the most ridiculous balanced tanks (WTF100, SU122-44 + E25 + Hellcat ...) on the live server. The moment some one knows how the spotting system works (usually around 52% WR and 1300 WN8) the mentioned tanks become instantly OP, while they will remain "relativ" harmless in the hand of noobs and newbies.

Though noobs usually prefer tanks that favor passive gameplay and offer some protection after the first disappointment ("... but the Tiger owned T34s in RL ...") allowing them to survive longer, which ofc means they die later but still lose as much or even more often.

But as we all know, you just have to bring enough patience and you can fail your way up to t10.

Sometimes it doesn't matter how well you do...

You have some strange choice of skills scattered on your crew man. :wtf:

agreed, but hey we all started somewhere, got to admit took me a while to navigate all the skill combos, armor angling and weak spots, view ranges and camo effect took even longer, even more upsetting was the realization that first 7k games had premium tanks with dedicated crews :( instead of using existing crews from other tanks of same type, and still finding new things, last discovery was that female crew's BIA equivalent perk doesn't actually take a skill spot and thus your second set of skills increases as if it is the first, please do correct me if im wrong

oh, yeah if it works for exsisting players too, then Im cool, I really didn't pay TOO much attention, i just hate for it to go to waste, which it will if i dont give it away.

i thought maybe someone here would have a friend that didnt have the game, and could use it to let them try it out for a while..
