How well is the T30 in front of the cooler improves the temperature? Worth it?
On my 5900X it is, with my current power limits, yes. If I ran it at stock settings with ram at 1600 1:1 I could run it semi passive.. but that is no fun for two reasons.. 1, stock.. booo. 2, the quiet is eerie.

Done. Easily a few degrees drop, janky ass mounting though cause the kaze clips dont work with chonky T30s.

I dropped my 5800X3D back in, and added a few NVMe drives for some more game storage.. but not a fan of losing my basement fans.. but not the end of the world :)

Scored a new case yesterday. Been out of the market for cases for quite some time now but the old Nanoxia Deep Silence Rev.B was breaking down too much for my liking anymore - that is now the front panel power switch is broken apart from the front access doors as well. Anyway, long story short - got a new MSI MPG Sekira 100R & a journey in getting use to the way they make cases these days began in real world.

Up on the bench & ready for working on....

One thing that was confusing is in the case manual, they diagram a HDD panel plug & where to plug it in but the case specs indicate no HDD led on the front panel! So I'm theorising that at the factory they just slap a generic picture of front panel headers into all their case manuals despite a particular case model not having that feature anyway... go figure!

Another challenging & annoying issue was connecting the DP cable to the socket on the back of my vga card. The stupid cases metal spacing system was too narrow made for the DP to connect all the way in to the socket on the back of the card, so there I was last night, filing away a part of this brand new case just so my vga can function properly! The machining tolerances at the factory I know are pretty good in general all the way around this case EXCEPT for this one but vital area! This is not the first time I've seen this problem on enthusiasts forums before so I know I'm not the only one here.

The pic below clearly demonstrates the issue at hand & what I had to do to get positive connection of DP. Bit ghetto like I know but don't care, the problem is solved! :) Not going to muck around sending the whole thing back cause' of this one tiny annoying issue - the rest of the case has everything I need.

Up & running in real time! I added some Corsair ML140s to the top & no ARPG funny stuff going on.
SystemUprunning - Copy.jpg

Now with all the case fans closer to all components compared to the old case from before, it will be interesting to see improvements in thermals or not despite 4x120mm & 2x140mm fans spinning away.

One of my people... :D Microsoft ergo keyboard and a large TV... 100% planning on doing this again very soon with a 65 in G2 or G3 OLED. Your setup is super close to what I used to run a couple of years ago, except I had a 55 in Sony X905F back then. Very nice!

Aren't you concerned with the sag? I would try to add a shoulder or something to ensure that it's not warped like that, but that's perfectionist me talking. Nice one :)

Actually I'm not worried, it weights just only over 500g without fan(s) :)

Now when thinking and reading about the Gigabyte fiasco, I'd be better safe than sorry. I'll put the packaging foam from the card's package to support it for now :toast:

I finally got around to finishing this after a bunch of sidetracking, so the parts list is a bit dated:
Intel 12700K
Asus Prime Z690-A
Corsair Dominator 32GB DDR5
Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus 2TB M.2
eVGA 3080 FTW3 Ultra
Asus Thor 1200P PSU
Corsair 4000D Airflow case
Corsair XD5 Pump Reservoir
Corsair XC7 CPU Waterblock
Corsair QL120 Fans
Corsair 350mm LED strips
Cable Mod sleeved cables for the visible power (24, 2x8, and 3x8)
EK-Quantum Vector 2 Waterblock and Active Backplate
PrimoChill 360mm EximoSX Radiator (40mm thick)
XSPC TX240 Ultra Thin Radiator (~20mm thick)
Mostly Corsair tubes and fittings

The grey parts of the case were swapped out with matching pieces from a black 4000D Airflow, and honestly Corsair should sell them this way instead of the weird grey/white combo and the black case actually looks better with the grey accents (I'm going to use it when I build a VR rig upgrade). The case is relatively stock, but I've made some minor mods and added some useful accents with 3D prints and sheet styrene.

I wanted to add a printed duct in the bottom to help redirect the lower 120 fan's airflow up into the case, but the cables just stick out too far with the size of the PSU. I would need a shorter bodied or a Corsair Shift PSU to give me the necessary room. My only real complaint is the Alpha Cool Eislicht white LED panels I used to illuminate the area behind the GPU. I should have tested them ahead of time, but assumed it was going to be an actual white LED since it wasn't sold as RGB. The marketing materials made them look more white than they are in reality. I'll just replace those with more of the dot-less LED strip I used in the front when it comes time to maintenance the loop.

I'm still working with adjusting the undervolt and overclocks, but it plays everything I'm throwing at it (so far) with epic/ultra settings at 100fps (3440x1440).

Fellow Morpheus family member! Man, you recognize those in an instant.

Mine's stuck on a formerly pathetically cooled PNY GTX 1080 which is now too cool for skool, even OC to 2100+MHz. How are your 6700 XT temps or OCs?

Temp setup until I receive all the components. I got the 7700X and RTX 3070 on the Streacom BC1 v2 but it will go in the Case(labs) behind it. The 3070 will go back in my VR-&HTPC (with a 5600X) as the 7700X will be paired with the 3080 (already water cooled).

OC is similar to factory cooler (2600-2700MHz on core, 2150MHz on memory, +15% on power target and undervolted from 1200mV to 1125mV), I can't post temps now as I'm not home right now. I'll report later :)
