DeepCool Readying Assassin IV Premium CPU Air Cooler For Launch

DeepCool debuted its Assassin IV Dual Tower CPU cooler earlier this year at the CES 2023 trade show - as covered by TPU at the time - its very eye-catching design was described as looking: "like (a) big dark cube inside your case, with a shroud covering all its sheet-metal." The flagship high-performance CPU cooler seems to ready for an imminent launch, with press material and product images being released today for the Chinese market. Early impressions indicate that hardware enthusiasts are appreciative of the almost all-black monolithic aesthetic, with some folks predicting that DeepCool is going to win computer hardware product design awards.

DeepCool press material states (via translation) that its Assassin IV CPU cooler provides super silent operation while dealing with up to 280 W of heat - Intel's latest high-end Core i9 CPUs could be tamed with relative ease. The heatsink is comprised of 7 heat pipes with a dual fan attachment that includes 120 and 140 mm FDB fans - said to operate silently at high RPMs. The fans are rated at 500 - 1700 RPM, with an airflow delivery of 79.1 / 58.06 CFM in performance mode, and 63.76 / 46.75 CFM airflow for the gentler quiet mode. Deepcool's specifications indicate that these cooling fans produce less than or equal to 29.3 dB(A) noise at peak performance, and less than or equal to 22.6 dB(A) noise in quiet mode. The entire cooling solution consumes 2.88 W in performance mode.

Noctua Reveals Product Roadmap for 2023 and 2024

Noctua has, as of this month, refreshed its product roadmap for the rest of 2023, and even provides a couple of scant details about far-off hardware scheduled for launch in early 2024 and beyond. The Austrian computer cooling hardware specialist is probably updating their release forecast in preparation for Computex 2023 - set to start at the end of the month - where brand new goodies could be debuted to industry-types and public attendees.

Noctua's 8-way fan hub seems to be delayed - the previous version of the roadmap had it down for a Q1 2023 launch, but the update now indicates a second quarter window. A bunch of next-gen AMD Threadripper coolers are marked down for an estimated third-quarter release, and Noctua has a slim 60 mm fan
as well as a 24 V 40 mm fan lined up for the final quarter. All-black versions of existing NH-D12L, NH-D9L and NH-L9x65 CPU coolers are due by the end of this year - a number of coolers are already available in the company's "chromax.black" finish - for those who do not enjoy the signature beige and brown aesthetic. A single next-generation 140 mm fan is teased for a Q1 2024 launch, with a chromax.black version coming later in the year. Finally, a re-designed NH-D15 CPU cooler gets a loose 2024 window.

DeepCool AIO CLCs at CES and Unique FT14 Case Fan

DeepCool brought a pair of new all-in-one liquid CPU coolers to the 2023 International CES. These include the LT series, the LS520 series, and the new FT14 case fan. The LT series is characterized by the unique geometric shape of its pump-block, which looks like a metal cube has been peeled to reveal a more solid geometric shapes inside, thanks to an illusion created by an infinity-mirror setup. DeepCool already launched debuted the LT series in October 2022, but at CES it introduced new all-white variants.

The LS520 series "smart" AIOs feature pump-blocks with LCD displays that provide real-time monitoring of the pump-speed, base-plate- and coolant temperature. These are otherwise identical to the LS series from mid-2022. Also making its debut is the FT14, a unique 140 mm case fan with a square fan-frame, which can be made to fit 120 mm fan vents, by pulling out the four corners of the frame, to reveal an inner frame with 120 mm mounts. Thermaltake's Cooling Products Hands-on: Analog Dashboard, Stackable SwaFan EX Series, ToughAir Dual-Stack Cooler

Thermaltake unleashed a wealth of new PC cooling products across a whole range of form-factors and applications. The star attraction, though, is a cool new accessory the company calls the Pacific TF3 Liquid Cooling System Dashboard. This accessory is intended to be installed in place of the rear 120 mm case-fan, and plumbed to your DIY liquid-cooling setup. It puts out real-time analog readouts of the ambient temperature inside the case, the coolant temperature, and coolant pressure, through three analog gauges.

The company updated the stackable SwaFan line of radiator fans. These fans can be "joined at the hip" in clusters of up to three, so you can ventilate a 360 mm radiator without cables sticking out of each individual fan. With the SwaFan EX, the inter-fan "bridge" handles PWM power, as well as addressable RGB. Thermaltake made improvements to inter-fan coupling by leveraging magnetic joints (similar to a MagSafe connector); adding detachability to the impeller (making it easy to clean); and introducing two sets of ARGB LEDs (the first one inside the impeller hub, and the second one along the bore of the frame), with a total of 20 diodes per fan. The SwaFan EX comes in 120 mm and 140 mm sizes.
