1MORE Introduces "True Wireless" In-ear Headphones

1MORE, whose products have been featured on TechPowerUp multiple times before, today added to their portfolio of audio peripherals with what they call their first truly wireless headphones. This is not necessarily their first wireless headphones, or even their first wireless in-ear headphones, but 1MORE's usage of the phrase here refers to these having no wires connecting both pieces of the headphones either- as opposed to the necklace style wireless headphones they had before.

Called simply the Stylish True Wireless In-Ear Headphones, which no doubt will make it harder to look them up in the long run, these new headphones come in black or gold color offerings and resemble many of the newer Bluetooth earphones in design. However, 1MORE says that they have used the uncommon non-conductive vacuum metallization (NVCM) process to get the final color and finish on these, as opposed to the more popular physical vapor deposition or even electroplating of metal surfaces. They claim is "an eco-friendly vacuum plated coating process that provides both a sleek metallic finish and stable signal transmission".

ASUS Intros ROG Gladius II Wireless Gaming Mouse

Wireless gaming mice are back in vogue as manufacturers are powering them with lightweight lithium-ion rechargeable batteries or induction current; and as gamers are beginning to care less about the added input-lag of wireless peripherals. To compete with the likes of the Logitech G Pro, which launched to generally positive reviews, ASUS launched a wireless variant of its Republic of Gamers (ROG) Gladius II. The new ROG Gladius II Wireless retains the shape, button-layout, and grip of the original Gladius II, but is wireless, lacks the bottom RGB LED diffuser, and weighs 130 g, just 20 g more than its wired sibling. It also packs a more powerful sensor.

The ROG Gladius II Wireless uses a combination of 2.40 GHz RF and low-latency Bluetooth BLE to achieve input latencies as low as 1 ms. The mouse packs a 16,000 dpi optical sensor (compared to the wired original's 12,000 dpi). At any point, if you're not sure about playing wireless, you can switch to the wired mode on the fly, by simply plugging in the included USB cable to its micro USB connector located up front. The mouse is remapped as a new device by Windows, and USB is used for both input and recharging the battery. We expect the ROG Gladius II Wireless to be competitively priced to the Logitech G Pro Wireless (around $140).

Mixcder Launches Its E8 Wireless Headphones with Active Noise Cancelling

American global audio specialist, Mixcder, is today pleased to announce the availability of the E8, which feature the company's latest advancements in ANC technology to deliver superior noise-cancelling performance and audio quality, along with improved wireless convenience. The new sleek, all black design of the E8 and premium, soft foam pads are designed to combine style with exceptional comfort to be the perfect accessory for travelers and commuters. The hybrid active noise cancellation also means they will no longer be disturbed by any external sounds. The Mixcder E8 headphones are available in the UK for £59.99 from Amazon.

The Mixcder E8 Bluetooth headphone is built with a hybrid ANC technology, which uses a recently developed active noise cancellation system that works in a wider frequency range in the low to midrange frequencies than most ANC designs, and provides an improved degree of noise cancellation. It also delivers improved isolation for better noise cancellation outside the active range. When an incoming noise is detected by the headphones, a digital signal processor (DSP) analyses the sound waves and creates inverse waves to cancel out the ambient sound. Simple to activate, users simply switch on the ANC button on the left ear cup to shut out from the world and relax with their music or film without being disrupted by noisy neighbors on a train or plane.

AZIO Adds More Exotic Material Peripherals to Their Portfolio

AZIO Corp underwent a massive makeover in their product line the last few years, focusing on their typewriter-style mechanical keyboards and then doubling down on it to give their products a different look than most others. Their Retro Classic line from last year introduced vegetable-tanned genuine leather to the keyboards, and then there was a special edition that made use of genuine wood trim as well. At Computex this year, AZIO showed more of the same being applied to other products, as well as hinting towards the use of more such unique materials in the future.

The Retro Classic full-size keyboard was shown in a new orange leather color, which went well with an entire system a wrist rest and mouse pads as well. This was next to another wood option, this time a lighter tone that went well with the white keycaps as opposed to the darker grain wood and black keycaps from the previous version. AZIO also showed off more mouse pads under the R.C. Mouse Pad name in two sizes (medium and XL) and multiple genuine leather color options to match the rest of their portfolio.

Vortexgear Joins in With More Wireless Mechanical Keyboards

Vortexgear, which is more commonly referred to simply as Vortex, has a close collaboration with iKBC when it comes to their product line and this year at Computex was no different. Indeed, it was evident that Vortex were joining in the fray of making 2018 the year of wireless mechanical keyboards now that RGB is a done deal, with every single new product having that option.

We began our look at the Vortex section of the giant Mistel/iKBC/Vortex booth with the new members to their popular Poker series of keyboards- a 60% form factor keyboard that offered onboard layers and programmability at a time when this was just a dream for even keyboard enthusiasts. The Poker IV is scheduled to work with their new software driver, thus finally allowing end users the freedom to customize layers and keys to a larger and easier extent than before. The two-tone keycap color scheme we saw with their recent keyboards carries over here, as does a thick plastic case to hit a wallet-friendly price point. On the back is a toggle for the power alongside a battery tray for two AAA batteries. New this year to the Poker series is also the so-called Poker Vol. 2 that trades in for a thick metal case and a split space bar. Images for the new Poker keyboards are seen below, and there is more to go after the break.

iKBC Debuts a Full-size Wireless Mechanical Keyboard

iKBC shared a booth space with Mistel, and decided that this year was the year of the wireless mechanical keyboard. In doing so, they showed off the Bluetooth version of their budget-friendly CD108 full-size keyboard. The new CD108 BT has PBT plastic keycaps, a battery tray for two AAA batteries on the back, cable management for the removable USB Type-C cable for when you want to go wired, dipswitches for onboard functionality controls and a choice of genuine Cherry MX switches to choose from. Releasing later this year, the iKBC CD108 BT looks to be one of the only options for a wireless full-size mechanical keyboard coming up.

Mistel Shows off New Keyboards and Power Supplies at Computex 2018

Mistel Keyboard has impressed us before with their MD870 SLEEKER keyboard before, and another of their products is being tested as we speak. They did not simply rest on their laurels this year, as they introduced a whole slew of new keyboards and even stepped out of their comfort zone with a new power supply range as well. Beginning with the keyboards, Mistel first showed us their take on the Cherry ML low profile switch- not to be confused with the new Cherry MX RGB Low Profile switch that debuted this year. Indeed, Mistel tells us they prefer the Cherry ML paired with their wire-style stabilizers and the new MD650L comes in multiple color options as well as a handy accessory that ties the two pieces together at a point to add a pivot function for ergonomics to those who do not prefer a fully split keyboard. Images of the keyboard are seen below, and lots more to follow after the break.

Intel Z390 Express Chipset Detailed

Intel released a product brief of its premium mainstream-desktop (MSDT) chipset, the Z390 Express. Positioned above the Z370 Express, the chipset has an exhaustive feature-set. It supports current 8th generation Core "Coffee Lake" processors, and is ready for the next-generation. Like all other 300-series chipsets, the Z390 interfaces with the LGA1151 processor over a DMI 3.0 chipset-bus. Much like the Z370, it features 24 downstream PCI-Express gen 3.0 lanes. Its storage setup remains unchanged from the Z370 - six SATA 6 Gbps ports with AHCI and RAID support; and up to three 32 Gbps M.2/U.2 connectors.

The differences begin with the chipset's integrated USB connectivity. The Z390 Express directly puts out six 10 Gbps USB 3.1 gen 2 ports, and ten 5 Gbps USB 3.1 gen 1 ports. If that's not a lot, it also puts out fourteen USB 2.0 ports (a total of 30 USB ports). Another major feature is Intel SmartSound technology, which the document specifies as an "audio/voice offload" DSP. This should, in theory, reduce the CPU's load in processing the audio stack. At the physical level it's still the company's "Azalia" HD audio bus wired to an audio CODEC with close to zero native signal processing. Perhaps some of that processing is done inside the chipset. The concept appears to be borrowed from edge-computing, and triggered by the rise in voice-command interface, so the chipset can natively process speech-to-text conversions.
