HyperX Clutch Gladiate and Pulsefire Haste 2 Thumbs-on

At the 2023 International CES, HyperX launched its most powerful wired Xbox controller, the HyperX Clutch Gladiate. An official Xbox-licensed third-party controller, the Clutch Gladiate comes with locks for each of the two triggers, and re-mappable rear buttons. Haptics are care of a dual-motor rumble rigging, with fine-grained force feedback. The controller also comes with a 3.5 mm analog headset jack.

The Pulsefire Haste 2 gaming mouse comes in wired- and wireless variants. It has a pseudo-ambidextrous shape (the side buttons are only accessible for righthanders). The wired version weights 53 g, while the wireless one surprisingly isn't much heavier, at just 62 g, yet with up to 100 hours of battery life on a single charge. These mice use in-house HyperX Switches rated for 100 million clicks; and HyperX 26K (26,000 dpi) sensor. Its electronics provide a staggering 8000 Hz polling rate. The mouse comes with PTFE skates that strike a balance between both speed and precision. The Clutch Gladiate is priced at $35, the wired Pulsefire Haste 2 at $60, and the wireless Pulsefire Haste 2 at $80.

MSI Announces Clutch GM41 Wireless Lightweight Gaming Mouse

MSI, a leading global computer brand for gamers, is proud to announce the CLUTCH GM41 LIGHTWEIGHT WIRELESS gaming mouse. This marks our first foray into producing a lightweight wireless gaming mouse which, as its namesake suggests, is constructed from lightweight materials with wireless capabilities suitable for competitive gaming. Such mice have gained popularity in recent time especially amongst competitive FPS gamers who want very agile mice that are not hampered by any drag from a cable.

This product launch follows our wired CLUTCH GM41 LIGHTWEIGHT which was released in February 2021. The newly announced wireless version shares the same symmetrical design, the same lightweight plastic material, and packs the same features within an impressive 74 g weight that includes the built-in battery. PTFE skates underneath the mouse provide a smooth glide across surfaces and rubber side grips help keep a firm grip in the hand. The latest in 2.4G wireless technology is incorporated to reduce transmission latency to just 1 ms resulting in responsiveness almost 10 times faster than the typical wireless mouse on the market.

HyperX at CES 2020: ChargePlay Clutch for Switch, Cloud Flight S, In-house Switches

HyperX made a splash at CES 2020 with several innovations. The star-attraction was the ChargePlay Clutch, an innovative Nintendo Switch battery dock that lets you extend your gaming session by augmenting a hot-swappable battery-pack. This battery pack has a Qi certified wireless charging receptacle, and the separately-purchasable ChargePlay Qi dock lets you charge up to two battery packs in one go. You can also split the contraption into two, such that the head unit sits on a table with a kick-stand, while the two JoyCons get grips of their own.

The HyperX Cloud Flight S is another innovative gaming peripheral for those on the move. It is an around-the-ear headset with a conventional mic stock. One of the two cans has a Qi wireless charging receptacle so you can charge it on any Qi-compatible charging surface. The internal batteries provide up to 30 hours of use on a full charge. The internal DAC provides a virtual 7.1 surround sound, while the NGenuity software lets you control its RGB illuminated HyperX logos.

MSI Announces Two Variants of the Clutch Gaming Mouse

Adding to their Clutch gaming mice line-up, MSI has just released two new models. The Clutch GM60 and GM70 both feature RGB functionality and interchangeable thumb rests, which should make these appealing to both right-handed and left-handed people. There are two differentiating factors between these two models. The first is the PMW 3360 sensor: the GM60 allows sensitivity to be set anywhere between 1-10,800, while the GM70 increases that margin to 1-18,000 DPI resolution. Both do this in 100 DPI steps, with an adjustable 1,000-3,000 Hz polling rate. The second stands with the connection type: while the GM60 supports a corded connection only, the GM 70 supports both corded and wireless connections. The change between wired and wireless increases response time from 0.33 ms corded to 1 ms wireless. I'm not a professional gamer, but that doesn't seem like much to me.

The rest of the specs are pretty much equal between both rodents: 2 m braided cables, Omron Gaming switches, aluminum frame, a pouch, as well as the ubiquitous LED lighting controlled by MSI's Mystic Light software. The GM70 weighs in at 129 g, while the GM 60 is a slightly less meaty 115 g. The company said the Clutch GM70 and Clutch GM60 gaming mice are expected to be in stores worldwide starting July 2017.
