The VX2722-4K-OLED is a 27-inch pure OLED monitor with 4K UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels) resolution, with 100% Adobe RGB and DCI-P3 coverage, 540 cd/m² brightness, and HDR True Black 400. This monitor will be available from Q4-2023.

This ultrawide packs a couple of star attractions—first is its 200 Hz refresh-rate, which is impressive enough for a 1500R curved monitor; and the second is its 1,152-zone miniLED illumination, which combined with its 10 bpc color-depth (1.07 billion colors), and 720 cd/m² maximum brightness, gives it VESA DisplayHDR 1400 certification. Other gamer-friendly features include AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, PureXP motion-blur reduction technology, 1 ms MPRT response-time, and ViewSonic Command Center software (lets you toggle between various game-genre specific presets). The native resolution of this monitor is UWQHD (3440 x 1440 pixels). Display inputs include USB-C with DisplayPort passthrough, and HDMI 2.1. The company didn't reveal pricing.

ASUS today showed off its latest flagship gaming monitor for bleeding-edge resolution and speed, the ROG Swift PF32UQX. This 32-inch flat-screen boasts of specs made of dreams: non-glare IPS panel, support for NVIDIA G-SYNC Ultimate (hardware G-SYNC), the highest-grade DisplayHDR 1400 certification with 1,400 cd/m² maximum brightness and 1,152 local dimming zones, 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160 pixels) resolution, and 144 Hz refresh-rate. The included DisplayPort 1.4 cable is required to let the monitor work its magic, besides three HDMI 2.0 inputs. The monitor also offers 90% DCI-P3 color gamut. The monitor will also pack all ROG-exclusive features from ASUS.

The Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA ) today announced that it has published the first major update to its widely adopted High-Performance Monitor and Display Compliance Test Specification (DisplayHDR), which is the display industry's first fully open standard specifying high dynamic range (HDR) quality. The updated spec, DisplayHDR version 1.1, includes tighter performance requirements, including for luminance and color gamut, as well as new test requirements, such as for active dimming, to address recent advances in HDR technology. Companies can begin certifying their display products under the new DisplayHDR 1.1 spec today. In addition, VESA will continue to allow products to be certified under the previous DisplayHDR 1.0 spec through the end of May 2020 in order to allow for products already in development that have been designed to meet the original spec, which was published in November 2017.
