Kingston Announces the DCP-1000 PCI-Express NVMe SSD

Kingston today announced the DCP-1000 line of high-performance PCI-Express SSDs, targeted at enterprises, particularly at data-centers with high bandwidth demands, the drives come in the half-height add-on card form-factor, and take feature a PCI-Express 3.0 x8 host interface (64 Gbps), and takes advantage of the NVMe protcol. It puts this interface bandwidth to good use, belting out sequential transfer rates in excess of 6,800 MB/s. The drive comes in capacities of 800 GB, 1600 GB, and 3200 GB.

All three models offer sequential read speeds of up to 6,800 MB/s. The 800 GB variant writes at speeds of up to 5,000 MB/s, while the other two models write at up to 6,000 MB/s. The 4K random access performance of the 800 GB variant is 900,000/145,000 IOPS (reads/writes); with the 1600 GB variant belting out 1,100,000/200,000 IOPS, and the 3200 GB variant 1,000,000/180,000 IOPS. The drives come with full-length heatsinks cooling the MLC NAND flash chips and controller; and a bank of capacitors that provide power-outage data-loss mitigation.

Kingston Now Shipping the HyperX Alloy FPS with Cherry MX Red or Brown Switches

The keys are guaranteed for 50 million key strokes per key.

Kingston Shows Off HyperX Predator LED DDR4 Memory

Kingston showed off its HyperX Predator LED DDR4 memory, featuring RGB multi-color LED lighting elements lining the top of the modules. At this point it's not clear how the colors and lighting schemes are set, but from the looks of it, these seem to support ASUS Aura Sync software. The modules feature soft-glow prismatic bars. The company is initially launching these modules in DDR4-3000 MHz speeds, in densities of 8 GB and 16 GB, and in dual-channel kits. It didn't mention pricing or availability.

HyperX Announces the Alloy RGB Gaming Keyboard, and its Two Other Variants

At the 2016 International CES expo, Kingston announced three new gaming keyboards, the Alloy RGB, and two new mechanical switch options for the Alloy FPS keyboard. To begin with, the Alloy RGB is a line of mechanical keyboards unto itself, featuring RGB LED-illuminated Cherry MX RGB switches across its spectrum. It is based on the same design as the original Alloy FPS keyboard the company launched back in October 2016. The company launched two more variants of the Alloy FPS, featuring Cherry MX Red and Cherry MX Brown switches. Market availability of the Alloy RGB is slated for Q3-2017, it is yet to be priced. The Cherry MX Red and MX Brown variants of the Alloy FPS will launch later this month, priced at US $99.99.

Kingston Announces SSDNow KC400 Series
