CORSAIR Introduces White RMx SHIFT PSU Series with Side-Mounted Connection

CORSAIR today launched a white color variant of the revolutionary RMx SHIFT Series of ATX 3.0 power supplies. RMx SHIFT, the world's first PSU with the DC connector panel on the side of the unit, quickly became a sensation among DIY PC enthusiasts after its launch last year thanks to cleaner and easier cabling than traditional power supplies. Available in 750, 850, 1000, and 1200 wattages, the RMx SHIFT Series exemplifies CORSAIR's commitment to addressing the evolving needs of its customers. With its repositioned side panel, builders have unobstructed access to all of its Type 5 Gen 1 micro-fit connections, making installation and maintenance painless. It also means less bending and twisting of the cables, removing unnecessary strain on the cables and connectors.

White models of RMx SHIFT address the overwhelming demand from the PC building community for more customization options to match a wider range of builds. The new white units retain all the features that have made the RMx SHIFT a market standout, including fully modular cabling, 80 Plus Gold-rated efficiency, premium 105°C-rated Japanese capacitors, and a 140 mm fluid dynamic bearing fan, while matching the clean aesthetic of white system builds.

CORSAIR Launches Innovative New RMx SHIFT ATX 3.0 PSUs

CORSAIR, a world leader in enthusiast components for gamers, creators, and PC builders, today announced the revolutionary RMx SHIFT Series of ATX 3.0 certified power supplies, giving custom PC enthusiasts a new way to build. Available in wattages from 750 W up to 1200 W, these fully modular 80 PLUS Gold-certified PSUs feature the DC connector panel on the side of the unit, granting easier access to your cables and simpler, cleaner cable management.

The RMx SHIFT Series' repositioned side panel (patent-pending) gives you a clear view and better access to all modular micro-fit connections, making connecting and maintaining your cables a breeze. Not only does this make attaching and detaching cables easy, it also means they won't be bent or twisted as much to reach the connectors, resulting in less strain and a cleaner build.

Corsair RMx Shift Series PSU Reimagines the Modular PSU

It's scary how nobody else thought of this. Imagine a modular PSU whose connectors are not at its tail end, but one of the sides that usually face right side-panel of your case, vastly minimizing cable clutter. That's the new Corsair RMx Shift series. All of the PSU's modular connections, including a 24-pin ATX, a couple of 4+4 pin EPS, a 16-pin 12VHPWR, six-odd 6+2 pin PCIe power, and a dozen SATA power connections, all wire out from the longer right side panel of the PSU (when oriented with its intake fan facing down). In most "cases," this would open up the connectors right below the motherboard tray, from where you can easily access them, without having to wrestle with them as you would on conventional modular PSUs. The RMx Shift includes new Corsair type-5 modular cables, and we expect these to be right angled, so further minimize cable clutter from having to bend these cables against the side-panel of your case. Pictured below are the RM1200x Shift, a 1200 W model with 80 Plus Gold efficiency, and the shorter RM850x Shift, its 850-Watt sibling.

Corsair Refreshes RMx Series PSUs with Magnetic Levitation Fans, Upgraded Warranty

Corsair on Wednesday refreshed its RMx series premium power-supply series with new 2021 models. Available in capacities of 1000 W, 850 W, 750 W, 650 W, and 550 W, these PSUs succeed the previous generation RMx series by featuring a new 135 mm "Magnetic Levitation" bearing fan that's designed for extremely high durability. This design change, along with other minor updates to the internals, allow Corsair to give these PSUs 10-year warranties. The PSUs continue to offer Cybenetics Gold switching efficiency with Acoustic A- rating, full modular cabling, and include two 4+4 pin EPS connectors on all models except 550 W. Prices should be on-par with the outgoing RMx series.

ASRock Registers 10 New AMD A520 Chipset Motherboards with the EEC

ASRock sought regulatory approval for as many as ten new motherboard models based on the upcoming entry-level AMD A520 desktop chipset. The A520 has a slightly cut down feature-set from the B550, such as the lack of CPU overclocking, fewer downstream PCIe lanes, etc. Among the new motherboards registered are the A520M Pro4, A520M Pro4 R2.0, A520M Pro4 R3.0, A520M-HDVP, A520M-HDV, A520M-HDV R2.0, A520M-HDV R3.0, A520M-HVS, A520M-HVS R2.0, and A520M-HVS R3.0, which cover a wide range of SKUs differentiated by board size, display connectivity layout, legacy connectivity, etc. AMD is expected to launch its entry-level A520 desktop chipset in Q3-2020, replacing the aging A320 chipset. The regulatory filing also points out some yet-unannounced B550-based models, such as the B550M DASH, B550M DASH R2.0, which could be released in the future.

Corsair Announces New Color Option for Their RMx Line of PSUs - Now In White

Adding to the color options available for your own rig's color profile (without you having to do the paint job yourself,) Corsair has now announced a white version of their popular RMx series of PSUs. The new additions to the RMx line-up come in a glacier white color scheme with black accents (almost a negative of their previously released RMx series coloring.) Corsair went out of its way and made it so that even the cable's sleeving (which keeps its RMx-known modularity) is in this white color scheme as well, so you can rest easy that no part of your rig - not even the cables - will stand out against your color scheme - at least where Corsair is concerned.
